@debs64. I was there early only one other car when I parked. This morning I took Gabriel in late to avoid him. Took Jonah to school went to pick up a parcel for secondborn from the sorting office. When I got back home realised I hadn’t put Jonahs snack box in his bag so had to make another 10 mile round trip back to his school. I’m now sitting down with a cuppa.

Good morning everybody😎 So sorry to have been absent for so long - we've just had a ton of stuff going on.

A visit to see MIL before lockdown followed by expensive problems with my car at just the wrong time (we were going to replace it later this month) which necessitated getting rid (without spending any money) at very short notice at 6pm the night before lockdown. Got a very decent price for it thank goodness but I was very sad to see it go😢.

Now the house is all upside down as the new doors and windows are being fitted. Glad we decided to only have half the house done to start with as I'm not sure where we would have moved our stuff to if all the rooms were work stations. They're nice lads and doing a good job but will still be glad when it's finished - don't like having workmen around - especially ones I have to be up and dressed for by 8am....

Have only skim read back over the last few days but I see that Hazel finally seems to have a shower - but what a palaver to get there!

Debs is also in the midst of home improvements. Just need to grit your teeth for a few more days!

Sorry to read about LB's bestie's family - hope they're all doing ok.

Also very sorry to read about Mr Rubee. What a very worrying time for you all. It was good that Rosie was with him when he was taken ill so she could be on hand with comfort and reassurance. Best wishes for you all.

Yvie - you're still going through the mill. Bullies like the one you encountered are best avoided rather than confronted. Nice pics from the V G exhibition.

Chive - Christmas deco time with the little ones sounds like lots of fun if a trifle messy. You'll be finding glitter for days afterwards in places you didn't know it could get. A bit like sand when you've been to the beach.... Nice Christmas house. Is it gingerbread?

What a lovely story about Jack's daughter's cat who'd been missing for all that time. I would be over the moon to be reunited with a lost furry friend🙂 Shows the value of microchipping too.

So good to be hearing some good news from both our forum friends and from the other side of the Atlantic. Is it just me or does the world seem a little safer knowing Trump won't be in charge for much longer stirring things up? Encouraging news on the Covid front too🙂

Right - need to get on with some more jobs now. Putting things back in place is top of the list. Did some gardening yesterday but everything was so wet it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Afternoon All, thank you for your kind comments about my house,
Lovely to see you Topbird, sounds like it’s all systems go at your home with the window replacement. Hope MIL is keeping well I’m sure she loved having you both stay and found some little jobs for you.  Sorry to hear about the car trouble, rather a wrench when it’s forced upon you like that, but better to cut your losses when you were looking to replace it anyway. Yes you’re right it is a little gingerbread house,
Must get the motivation to do something more unmentionable, have a nice afternoon.

Hello all. Chive I LOVE your gingerbread house and I've saved the picture for the collage. I have been knitting Christmas trees today - titchy things - and had chats with some rellies. Poor you Yvie. I'll bet it was thinking about another confrontation with that horrible man that made you forget about Jonah's snack box.
T'Bird its great to see you back - even though Hazel thinks you are a 'gaolbird'. So THAT'S where you have been! Sympathise completely with your feelings about the car. You do become attached to them and know all their little foibles. I'm sure that a new one will soon start to feel familiar to you. By the way, its not just you who feels safer knowing Trump has gone. I'm with you there. He is as nutty as a fruit cake and dangerous with it.
Hazel, great to have new furniture and that is excellent service from the seller.
Update on Bestie's family. Her son is recovered and is due to go back to work on Friday. Her DIL is still a bit poorly but getting better every day. Happy news there.

Hazel it has not failed to amaze me that a country the size of the USA couldn’t produce a better person to rival Trump than Joe Biden. Felt exactly the same at the last election. I’m not saying that our country is much better but at least our recent prime ministers haven’t been old enough to draw their state pension for 10 years.

Enough political talk! Time for feet up & a G&T. Seem to get an awful lot done before 11am when I get up at 6.30am and today I made a yummy homemade fish pie - all ready to pop in the oven very shortly😋

    Good evening all.
I came home an hour ago. I took a trip to nearby city and GC, ofcourse. In one GC all bulbs and seeds was on 50% discount. I don't need to tell you what happened next. Also I bought persimmon tree. Here is cold and extremely windy.
Many things happened last few day so I wasn't here. I'll read back tonight all your missed posts.
I had very unpleasant experience with my hairdresser. Last week I called her and make appointment for yesterday. She called me at Saturday and said that she heard that I was in isolation and she must canceled my appointment. I told here that I have negative test and I'm over with it, but she didn't want to hear. So sad because I was loyal customer more than 10 years.

Chive, beautiful gingerbread house. All shops here are stuffed with Christmas decorations.

LB, all my pupils are in school since yesterday. We are all very happy. It was so satisfying to see them all in classroom.

    Sorry for long post.😊

Hello there Ante. I am so sorry that you had no success with your hairdresser especially as she has known you for so long and should surely trust you. Will you find another hairdresser? Pleased to hear all the students are back and tell us how many bulbs and seeds you bought? I don't think any of us would have been able to resist such a tempting offer.
Fish pie T'Bird. Send some down the tunnel please. Tee hee I've just noticed that I have been calling Joe Biden, Joe Bidens. I think I must have had the hanging basket plant on my brain all the time. I'll make a note to myself!
