Morning all, @Biglad I thought that too but I suppose it's to give people something to look forward to.  I'm sure she will be fine, she doesn't have to rely on the NHS like the rest of us.  The poor souls are run ragged and doing their best but in the current climate getting treatment for anything apart from Covid is proving difficult.  I'm still trying to get my hands sorted at the local GP's everytime I phone they say sorry we can't deal with any minor procedures at the moment.
On a more cheerful note I have finally been out and planted the last of the bulbs this morning.  Still have violas to get in but they can wait a little longer. Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon🙂

A day of putting things back and doing Col TT stuff. It's nice to have the house straight again. We both think the house feels warmer so hopefully that's a benefit of the new windows and not a figment of our imaginations.Feeling very weary. Why is it so exhausting watching other people work?😁

Did an online Christmas shop yesterday and I think everyone's sorted now. Never been done so early before.

See some of you are started on Christmas cards. You may like to know that the birthday card for my sister-in-law in Canberra took nearly a month to arrive. I don't think she received any of her cards from the UK until the beginning of November (her birthday is 26 Oct).  There are so few planes into Australia (& presumably New Zealand and some other countries) that mail seems to be taking second place to passengers and other forms of freight.

I've already decided that (for this year at least) overseas seasonal exchanges will be by email.

Went for a walk in the woods again today, so very peaceful.
Wrote some Christmas cards and also did a bit of knitting. LB, I'm making trees too, I wonder if they are similar.
    Oops that posted too soon.
Hope everyone has had a pleasant day and the weather has been kind

Evening all. I have been busy in the garden today Did more tidying up and planting out. I was accompanied by Hoppity - my almost tame, one footed blackbird. Watching carefully to see if I turned up any juicy slugs or worms.
Good to hear that your new windows are already helping to insulate you T'Bird. Thanks for the heads up about Antipodean postings T'Bird. Better get my rellies cards in the post soon as.
SGL after last nights rain we did well to have pleasant days today. Here are my trees:

    Morning all,

Weather is grim at the minute. Doesn't sound like a gardening or running type of day at the moment :(

Morning Biglad. Yes, similar here. Could be a planning day. I took this picture of a house up the lane last night as I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing.
Apologies for the poor quality but the bright white areas on the picture are Christmas lights!
