Morning Ruby and Ante. Ruby, could be a planning day again today although I do need to get the marzipan onto my Christmas cake. What will you get up to? Ante, I remember that soon after you got your lights up last year the high winds came along and damaged some. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen this year.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good Morning Hazel, Ante Hope you get all you want done, but try and have a few tea breaks while you’re working ☕️☕️ Hazel Glad you were able to get on ok today, the plan is to make some sausage rolls and more gingerbread biscuits. Enjoy your day.
LB, you have excellent memory. Even I forgot that wind broke some lights last year😁. Neighbourhood children already ask me will I decorate this year. They are all confused by this situation.
Chive, I prepared a thermos bottle full of tea. It will be enough for this afternoon.
Marvellous news Hazel. You didn't have to wait too long at all. My handy brother was telling me a funny story yesterday. In his road there is a family who have a small boy, Theo, (aged 4) who has taken a bit of a shine (Ante means 'is quite fond') to my brother. Every time he goes gardening in his front garden Theo comes across to 'help'. His Mum came across to apologise but brother is quite happy and reassured her that he didn't mind in the least. Anyway, brother was going out to the shop, got almost to the end of the road, Theo had come out to see what he was doing, when suddenly he remembered he had forgotten his mask so he turned round to go back for it. The ensuing conversation took place:
Theo: What are you doing?
Brother: I forgot my mask so I'm going back for it.
Theo: You silly boy!
Brother was in fits of laughter.

Talking of tea breaks ☕️ Ante A thermos is a brilliant idea 👍 Hazel Great news that your chairs arrived this morning, LB That is funny 😀 Rubee Well done with your wrapping, are you trying the parcel collection option?
Morning all. LB I love the Charlie Brown cartoon. Debs it sounds like Graham’s keeping you on your toes. A foggy and damp morning here. Chive I’ve been wrapping c*******s presents this morning. Hazel how’s the throw coming along. I’m glad you’ll receive your chairs. Also our chemist only allows two in at one time and you queue outside.
Hi folks, Rotten day here, very grey and wet. The lamps are on in the lounge and I doubt they will be turned off today. We are still waiting for Secondborn's Covid result. She's fine just exhausted, a slight temperature and a bad headache. It's just a case of wait and see.
I remember a friend having a house tortoise when I was younger. He used to sit in the hearth in front of the fire when the weather was cold.
I have the grandchildren's christmas presents and wrapping paper and cards but that's about it at the moment. Wont put any decorations up until December and still haven't decided whether we will put a tree up this year or not.
Have some knitting to be getting on with today so that should keep my busy.

"The Adventures of Theo and his Hissing Tortoise, Graham" is todays idea for a series of children's books and, later, film franchise
