Hi folks, Good news, Seconborn's Covid test was negative so she has gone back to work and she can see the boys again. We are all really relieved. The problem with my knee has eased, just the odd twinge now and again. Haven't been outside for a few days now apart from feeding the birds. I think I need get out and get some fresh air but I'm finding it hard to get motivated. @Chivetalking it's proving hard to stay upbeat at the moment isn't it. Hope you feel better soon.
Excellent news Yvie. I was talking to my Bestie this morning and her isolation finished today so she was off to see her Mum. Both her son and DIL are now fully recovered and back at work. I decided to give Lily's TV a whirl so of course the sun has gone in again and it will probably rain. I did take time to check on my bulbs and I'm happy to say that I have 1 crocus peeking through the compost.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Wonderful news Yvie, so glad secondborn is ok. Chive, sorry to hear you've felt one degree under. Good you feel more like you again. Rosie, hope your Dad's jab goes ok and too sore. Glad it's not just me who seems to get tired quickly these days. I used to be able to walk quite a way before feeling bushes. I'm sure its this crazy year. Cup of tea time 😉
Thank you Hazel, I might keep them standing together. The one with the white, is 3 knitted cones popped ontop off one another, so I would have to sew them together to hang. But I could just thread some wool through each top piece to make a loop.Â
LB I’m glad to hear bestie, son and dil are all improved.  Yvie good news for second born.  A relief for all.  It’s great to hear good news.  Chive I hope you’re feeling better soon.  LB, Hazel and Lily, thank you, dad seems okay so far after jab.  I was getting a little concerned as he was quite a while when he went through.  Lily, I love your trees, knitted festivities, lovely.
Afternoon - seem to have had a bit of everything today - rain, wind, sun, grey but it's quite mild so I've done a couple of hours tidying up / cutting back outside. The compost bin is lovely and warm and is propely alive with all the brandlings wriggling around. Lots of black gold in the making for next year🙂
Today I have taken delivery of 3 smart plugs so I'll probably have fun setting those up to work with our new smart / Alexa enabled speaker. Anybody else use them? Any tips for setting up?
Tomorrow I have 30 bare root beech hedge plants arriving so I guess that will keep me busy for the next day or so....
Rosie - hope your dad is ok after his jab.
Lily - lovely trees
LB and Yvie - pleased to hear everyone is out of isolation - must be quite tedious
LB - I've just signed up to participate in the local U3A monthly lectures via Zoom. They've not been able to meet since March so are trying out the technology method for the next few months. Be interesting to see how it goes. I don't know if any of the Interest Groups have tried it - my bestie's book club have but with mixed results. Just wondered if your branch were trying anything like that?
