Hi T'Bird. I don't have smart plugs but I do have 6 remote control plug in sockets and I find them an absolute boon as I can turn on all my lights with the single press of a button - great for the wall sockets that are obscured by furniture. They were simple to set up and I programmed (which just involves pointing the remote control at each socket and selecting the appropriate number - in my case ONE) them all to turn on with just one button press.
My area U3A do Zoom coffee mornings T'Bird. In fact had one today but to be honest most of the people who did attend my Canasta Interest Group are not very techie and I wouldn't know anyone else in the other groups. Asides from which it requires me to sit still for a while - something very alien to me.

Sending sympathy to Chey. I imagine he was unable to see her which will make the sadness worse. Hope happy memories can help to see him through.
Busy day but sons room is now tidy and organised and I have found a couple of Christmas gifts I had forgotten about.

I think that all questions were answered. I didn't know about the Russian fish or the Baba ghanoush. My new knowledge for this quiz.

I knew it LB - much better on food and drink than almost any other subject. What does that say about me? 🐷🐖🐷

Have you tried making your own gravadlax? It's very easy, much cheaper than shop bought and you can make as much or as little as you need - just takes a couple of days 'cooking' in the fridge.

A variation made with beetroot and gin makes a tasty change although I've only eaten but not made it.

Very sorry to hear the news about Chey's grandma and I hope he'll be able to say a special farewell to her in his own way. Please pass on my best wishes.
