Hazel was it a doll's house and not a fairy house? I seem to remember it having a drive up to it and maybe thats why I imagined a limo driving up to the front door?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all. Busy day planned putting the last coat of paint on kitchen walls then it’s just the flooring to go down on 10th November and we will be presentable. I love the new kitchen and my sofa came yesterday after a lot of messing about from DFS, in the end I had to email their CEO but it did the trick, sofa here and I got a little hamper of goodies as an apology.
Dry here but looks like more rain on the way. I am hoping for a trip to allotment later I want to set up the hedgehog 🦔 house in the hope it will get used this year.
No more injury stories please I am very squeamish.
Morning LB and Debs, Lovely autumnal photo. LB, do you think you're thinking of MU's dolls house, I think there was a car for the lady of the house. Was her name Marjory 😉 MU put some lovely little touches in the house. Would love to see it again. Chive, this hour really messes me up, dread to think what it will do to my sleep pattern this time 😫🤣🤣 Lovely to see you Debs, your kitchen sounds lovely. Glad you have your sofa now.
Good Morning LB & Debs, LB I had another look at your fairy house and keep seeing more details like Lily outside the front door, it’s so clever must have taken a lot of time to create, Debs It sounds like good progress has been made and you can enjoy your new kitchen and sofa I bet it does look very nice. Lily I think the name for MU’s house owner was Millicent, it was a beautiful house wasn’t it the attention to detail was astonishing,
Good Morning Hazel & Pauline, Hazel Sorry you had a rotten night, hope the tea helps to restore you ☕️ Pauline I like your fairy house, they keep a very tidy garden 🙂
Yes! your right Chive it was Millicent! Knew it began with M 😂 It was lovely wasn't it Chive, I remember the hat on the bannister in the hall way and the sewing room. And all the little ornaments in the rooms. Would really love to see what it looks like now.
Yet more rain overnight but looks a bit brighter this morning so might get out and about later.
I can't join in with the fairy house chat but they do look like an awful lot of time, effort and skill has gone into them
To put an end to the gruesome cul-de-sac I took you down, here's the happy ending. You can barely make out the scars now as they've faded so much in the intervening decades. A truly remarkable job by the NHS to convert a tiny bundle of bloody flesh and bone to this thing incapable of building a fairy house

It was done before we all did them.
I have redone the garden since.
The house looks a bit tatty now, so will probably get re-knewed next year.
It's been outside for about5 years,
