Hi folks,  It's wet, grey and miserable here today.  Haven't heard yet whether Gabriel is coming home or not, our fingers are still crossed.   Have just taken in Hubby's car to the garage.  He's got a problem with the waterpump and it's going to cost the best part of £400 to put right.  :'(
Had a dream last night that I sweeping leaves up in a huge garden and as fast as I swept them up more came down.  Was shattered when I woke up.  Thanks for all your good wishes re Gabriel.  Have a good day.

Good Morning Rubee, Rosie & Yvie,
Yvie Oh dear I suspect that’s exactly how your life feels at the moment impossible to manage, try and take it easy if you can 🤗

Two C*******s cakes in the oven. The spicy smells are just beginning to spread through the kitchen. I have cleared away all of the carnage I always manage to create and I'm having a little sit down before I make some lunch - Lily has kindly warmed up my seat for me. It is hammering down outside.
Yes, Hazel, those are rather odd instructions. Perhaps the trick or treaters have to stand and make loud ghostly noises or rattle chains or something similar. If the weather is anything like mine today, I cannot see anyone actually wanting to go out.

I’ve been for a walk with dad and it was raining but good to get some fresh air and walk through the wood.  Lots of sounds of nature with a lot of bird song.

    Afternoon all,

Judging the comparative severity of the rain seems to be taking up far too much of my time these days. My musings just got interrupted by a knock at the door though. It was a nice young chap called Noah but he seemed a bit 'spaced out'. Asked if I minded if he set up his workshop in my back garden :o

Hazel, The work sounds tiring but almost done - ready for next week. By the way, did you miss the humour in Biglad's post? Clue:

Rosie, how lucky you and your Dad were to get out for a walk. I wish! I only had to go as far as my dustbin - all of 2 metres - and I got soaked.

Hazel, you are probably tired like most of us are. I get up in the morning most days and think 'What am I going to do today? Oh yes, its lockdown, so nothing!' Its a good job we've got our hobbies to keep us ticking over but I've certainly lost that feeling of freedom. I don't get trick or treaters here as my house is well away from the housing estate which is where most of the Hallowe'en activity goes on.
