I'm signing out for tonight - I have some clocks and time switches to adjust. Like Chive, I need to remember to change the one in the car. Night night everyone. See you all tomorrow. I'll have to stay in suspense until @Biglad gives us all the gory details.

Sorry folks - was watching the football. Here goes:-

On a glorious summer's day my mother was mowing the lawn. The mower was 'open-top' with the rotating blades readily accessible to a small child, who was trying to help by 'feeding' grass into the machine. The contraption accepted the gift readily and dragged the clump of grass down towards its whirring mechanism. For some reason, the small child was distracted enough not to let go and my mother stopped the mower a split second after a tiny hand started to join the chopped up grass  :o

I understand that I was millimetres away from severing enough of my wrist to render the hand pretty useless. It was a quite a mess! Fortunately, whoever did the repairs at the hospital did a magnificent job and stitched enough skin back together for the hand to be fully functional with 3 interesting, long scars the only evidence of a mildly interesting anecdote  ;)
