Had to run to the bottom of the garden to get this shot this morning to catch the sun rising, such beautiful colours and within minutes it was gone. Lovely start to the day, birds were a little startled though.

I received this photo from an old school friend who found it on
facebook. It's iconic eh? No idea who took it, but they had an eye for a
photo. Totally evokes the '70s - the bunch are just school kids (mostly
from Varndean in Brighton) and were part of the group I went around with
before I got married. I'd place it anywhere between 70 and 72. The backdrop is Brighton Clock Tower.
I'm in the photo apparently, but I'm arguing with my mates over it - as I don't see 'me'.
Probably taken with a box Brownie - but just shows what you can do with either a) a bit of luck or b) you know what you're doing!
That's why Iove photography - a simple group shot says so much about an era.
I know it happens twice a day and I should be used to it by now, but I just adore our sunrise and sunset views. Now the hedge has been trimmed we get to see more of it too.

Some really lovely photos here.
These are some my daughter took when the rain froze and ice covered everything, near Poitiers.
