We have had the first sunny day here for a while, so much rain lately as well as frost and snow it has been so difficult to get outside but I managed a quick walk around the garden this evening and am pleased to see signs of life. It's getting lighter each day too, 6pm here now and not quite dark, the birds are fighting over a last chance of supper on the feeders, too much activity to get a photo though.
This is my favourite spot for a coffee break, at the bottom of the garden, where I can sit and look back at it, just a bit too chilly this evening for that though, the white spot is actually the moon , looked better in real life.

Yes, the 'Moon Illusion' where it appears larger when closer to the horizon is caused by the way our brains work, and is thought to be mainly a psychological phenomenon, so cannot be recorded by cameras.
Managed to get out for a little walk today after days and days of rain and took a few snaps of a little pond that I love to walk to. Looks a bit grey, so much prettier in the summer sun but glad to be outside.
I took this one below on my way back, you can just see the roof of my house behind the tree to the left.
And this is the field from the front gate.
