Morning all/afties @Pat E. Hope you get some rain soon. I would send you some, but it seems we're not done with it yet I didn't see your last post @Lizzie27 - posting at the same time. It can be exceedingly tricky, and often almost impossible. Different tactics needed for the differing situations and characters Not sure what I'll do today. I thought it was to be quite nice and I'd thought of a small hill walk, but it seems it's clag everywhere I can go.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I slept well until 4am, then dozed. I'm now worrying about Covid in Holland where my buyers live. It's bad there.
Man has been to collect the tractor mower, reverse gear repair, servicing. Must keep the old thing going, I'll need it at the new place, there's a lot of grass.
Housework today, changing of sheets, washing of clothes, but the machine does that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hope everything goes smoothly with your sale @Busy-Lizzie - when is it all due to complete? Am I right in thinking there is some sort of fixed timetable? It will good when you can relax again.
Looking forward to our first garden club zoom lecture tonight. 70 households signed up (and many of those will have a couple watching) ......so I feel vindicated that there is an interest after all (I was told our members wouldn’t go for something like this). So fingers very crossed that it is entertaining and a technical success 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Enjoyed bakeoff, although a little surprised that none of them could turn out a decent brownie? Maybe it takes time to get used to someone else’s oven?
I'm hoping OH will be back in November. School holidays are starting this weekend and I will be seeing family in France. OH will probably return after the holidays. He's vulnerable so it wouldn't be sensible to mix with my family in France.

Good morning everyone. I slept well too @Dovefromabove . First time in weeks.
It's bright and sunny here which is a lovely surprise as not forecast. A less lovely surprise is that one of the patch ladies has tested positive so has to isolate for 14 days and I have had to send a mail to all the others telling them to be vigilant for symptoms for the next 7 days. We should be OK as we are sat at a metre's distance and wear our masks but some will will be worryworts.
I'm due to take Possum back to Belgium around the 28th or so which is a worry if they're back in lockdown by then. Not going well there either but, assuming your buyers don't succumb, it shouldn't affect your sale @Busy-Lizzie. hope he can get back to you OK.
Well done @chicky and hope it all goes swimmingly. I have been asked to join our garden club's committee but won't be organising any zooming as I haven't a clue but I might well suggest it as a way forward for our usual winter talks.
Hope you get your rain some time soon @Pat E and you can get a walk @Fairygirl.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Afternoon folks. The truck has passed the MOT for another year! Very grateful to her for her hard work taking me to work, shopping and to see my loved-ones (when allowed).
I should make the most of the fine weather today - I’ve had two walks already (from and to the garage) so a bit of light pottering with some cuppas I think. Have a good day all.
Always a relief isn't it @AuntyRach? Fine for another year. It's cleared up here now, although still a bit murky. I've been doing indoor, boring cleaning jobs, but I'll get out soon. Think they were all being a bit too ambitious with their brownies @chicky. Understandable. I hope it doesn't affect your sewing outings @Obelixx, or your trip back with Possum. Very difficult when someone tests positive, because you can't just ignore it. I'm appalled at these incidents down south reported today when the new enforcements were coming in. We're not any better up here with some of the behaviour. We have to look out for ourselves, and hope that we can stay safe. Mainly by keeping away from the ***holes I think. Some folk need to look at the bigger picture. Yesterday, my sympathy was reserved for that family who were nearly all killed in that car crash in Oxford. Puts a lot of things in perspective. That poor man.

Indeed @Fairygirl ... doesn't bear thinking about ...
Good news @AuntyRach ... Lola has her MOT early Nov 🤞
The morning has been busy ... washing, soup making (leek and potato), bread making, floor sweeping, tidying, paperwork and family phone calls.
If I'm a bit less than chatty at the moment please excuse me, it's because I'm a bit preoccupied ... my brother has a nasty bowel tumor ... patches also in chest and on kidney ... oncologists are 'conferring' ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
