Hello @AnniD. All good here in my neck of the woods. I trust you and yours are safe and well too.
I've just been peeling Bramleys and cooking them with some blackberries I got in 'sco the other day. All ready now to make a crumble tomorrow. I went down to the compost bin with peelings and trimmings and as I got halfway down the garden, I heard a sound that always signifies Autumn to me. I looked up and overhead was a skein of geese. A perfect V formation. Probably heading for Martin Mere. The noise they make is amazing. I was only cross I didn't have my camera to hand.

  • Afternoon All, been to the SM when I came out I could see it had poured down, lucky not to get caught in it. Disappointed to see the toilet roll aisle had virtually been emptied, looks like people are panic buying again.  Managed to get what we needed at least. Work is hard going at the moment I can’t go into the details, but the role has become extremely challenging.
Sorry I’m not very cheery, going to have a nice mug of tea and decide what to make for dinner.
Hope you all have a good evening.

Oh Chive. I can only imagine how difficult these times are for everyone in schools. Chin up Chuck. You can always go and take it all out on the weeds!

Ruby, you are right! The hyacinth smells divine. Not sure my back has quite forgiven me yet for stooping down to give it a sniff though!

  • Sorry I haven't done any of the quiz LB, but we were out this afternoon and have been on the phone for awhile since we got in.  I didn't mention before.....on Monday OH had a phone call from the hospital for an appointment to see his oncologist this afternoon.  And thankfully all is ok, he will have another check up soon. Such a relief after not seeing anyone for all these months.

Chive, sorry things are tough at work at the moment, hope everything works out well. Hope you manage to get a good nights sleep. Take care, sending hugs.
