Chive I went back to where they had been and I couldn’t find them again, but it would have been exhilarating.  Night night everyone x

Just checking in - been busy all day. Training session this morning and then off to my sister's garden to catch up with a few jobs since my last visit a fortnight ago. Dug out a new small border and put all her new strawberry plants (from runners) in there. I didn't know she suddenly decided to buy a load of stuff for her garden a few months ago. If she'd said she wanted some strawbs, I could've given her some of mine but she bought a dozen tiny plants and now has about 30 after I potted up all the runners!

Dug up a couple of her King Edward plants - enough spuds for her and the kids to have mash for tea. Along with some dwarf french beans that I put in a trug a while ago. She was pleased with the fruits of my labours so I took payment of some cuttings from the flower beds out front  :)

Quick trim of the hedge bordering the road and back home for a hot bath and a beer  :)

Yes @Ladybird4, I did enjoy the chish and fips.

  • Ref the chutney, my mum made hers and matured it for at least a year before opening.

Just keeping in the good books @Songbird-1 :D She's planning an extension which will mean a chunk of the back garden gets cleared. I want to build a wall border in my front garden and there will be a lot of stone getting removed from hers  ;) There's also a trellis and a rose bush that I've got my eye on!!!

A very good morning one and all. @Biglad I'm curious about what you are training for. Next year's Olympics; a marathon; a cross channel swim; bungee jumping or a pie eating competition???? You have certainly been working hard enough in your sister's garden too. Hello and welcome @Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants. You must have a good, strong will to resist opening jars of deliciousness for a year but well done!
I'm off to see the rellies this morning so dog breeds will be revealed later. Chive and friends have done well too. When I get the answers you will be able to see who is in line for a Crufts judging position! See you all later.

Good morning LB and all to follow. Lovely morning here so hoping for an hour of weeding before I go to daughters for lunch.
Thanks for recipe ideas that green tomato sauce sounds lovely I will look out for that as I do have a lot of chutney made and also need to do a golden courgette and apple chutney batch from yesterday’s harvest. Fiancé hates chutney so it takes a while to get through the jars!
  • Good Morning LB and all to follow,
Hope you have a nice time with your rellies LB,
Rubee a knitted doll is nice, I agree ceilings are a pain to paint I can understand that made you feel dizzy,
Rosie that was a shame you were unable to find them again,
    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Chive well done with the painting I agree with Rubee and don’t do ceilings but I do have lots of walls to paint.
    LB enjoy rellie visiting.
@Topbird I can’t find the sauce recipe online could you possibly put it on here?
Need coffee then I will get up, I promise! Lying in bed too expensive I just spent £20!
