Glad you had a nice lunch LB - it's good to do something normal again isn't it? We're booked into the pub in the next village in a couple of weeks time and we're talking about trying The Giggling Squid next week. It's a chain of Thai restaurants but I just want to go for the name...
Thanks for the info about the gate colour. I think our windows are being fitted in October so I might get a sample tin to see how it compares with them. The doors and windows will be a greenish grey (very National Trust sort of colour) & it would be good to find a matching woodstain
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hotness and age definitely do not a good combination make Ante. I'd love a thunderstorm to clear the air and save me watering this evening. No sign at the moment. We've managed 34.6C this afternoon....🥵

I hate and dread thunderstorms. Migraine provokers. I can feel them coming. They are bad out here. I cannot even hide under the bed as it is a divan. Shudders. Headache already. We are so exposed out here. Isolated building and no trees etc. I had a collie who was so thunderphobic it was terrible to see. Knew how she felt.
Rubee, it was a lovely time and as T'Bird said it all felt very normal. We are going again to a different pub on the 18th. T'Bird, I LOVE the name of the Thai restaurant. I would want to go just for the name too. Ante, you have just mentioned my favourite chilli peppers! So good with cheese and on pizzas. It has gone very still here. Hmmm - a bit 'stormy' feeling. My evening will be perfect its Line of Duty, hoorah!

LB, I'm glad that you had a nice time with your brother. I can really use some of your rain. Here is brutally hot.
Island, I love the smell of hay.
As I get older, it's more difficult to cope with hotness. I planned to pickle cucumbers and jalapenos but I'll wait for lower temperatures.
