Hello Island. Poor little Tonto. At least he can rely on your kindness to see him looked after. Just heard on my forecast that the rest of the week is going to be windy so I hope that you get some over where you are.

Good morning Island LB and Chive . Good that you got some rain Island .Love the pic LB . I wonder why it puts me in mind of Madam Butterfly?๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜Š .Chive i hope that the plasterer doesnโ€™t make too much mess . Island poor Tonto .As LB says , he has you to look after him now .
  • Blissful coolth outside..... Tonto is a survivor but I could ย  ย  ******* the neighbour. Rural Ireland is like Orkney re cats. Historically they were dirt poor and could not feed a critter who was not eg like a lamb that could be sold or eaten. If you think back to the Famine? Cats were treated no better than the vermin they controlled and " of course" (*) a hungry cat is a better hunter. ! NOT! My best hunter is Boycat who is a foodie. Also on islands uncared for cats get inbred. For a tale of this look up " The cat lady of Cape Clear Island" A wonderful read. They apparently sorted the cats here a while ago ( I didn;t ask) and only 2 left, both males andย  why neuter them when there are no "open" females? I was quizzed when I arrived but all mine are fixed. Nothing I can do re the local culture but pick up where needed. Oliver arrived home with Tonto one day. He clearly found him starving and said, ""HEy . you come on home with me! She will feed you; she will feed ANYTHING!" He was not tame but now he attaches to my ankles purring and I can pet him, rub his ears, pick him up. No idea if the neighbour knows he is here!ย  he is not confined; could leave if he wanted. lol.... All my 6 are rescues. And so full of love. ย

Morning LB, Rubee, Chive, Island and all to followย
    Happy car hunting LB.
Hope plastering goes well Chive and not too much mess.
Poor Tonto, but he knows you'll look after him island.
Sun is shining at the moment but it's very cloudy and rain is forecast for later today. Tomorrow is supposed to be horrendous.
Wet cloth things in the whirly machine almost ready to go on the line. Will chance it, but have aired ready just in case.
Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you're doing. Take care.

  • Chive; good luck with the plasterer...

Morning all,ย  Not long back from the airport run.ย  Hubby is on his way to Turkey and I have 3 weeks of peace and quiet in front of me (Not).ย  I'm sure First and Secondborn will keep me on my toes. No plans for today. If the rain holds off I might venture into the garden.ย  Was up very early so a nap this afternoon might be in order.ย  Have a good day everyone.
