Rosie, it sounded far too busy for me too. I personally wouldn't have enjoyed being there.
Yvie, hope all goes well for your daughter and her in laws visit.  Hopefully the microwave will come at a reasonable time and maybe you could have a snooze afterwards. Hate it when you have a delivery without any idea of the arrival time. You either waste most of the day waiting for it or.....I often have a sleepless night worrying about getting up early enough.
Hope you enjoyed the pub quiz LB
Its been quite on here today.
    Night night everyone sleep well

Good morning all.  I’m rather an early bird, having a cup of tea with Alfie sprawled in a chair.  I’ve been to the bathroom and had a wash early.  The cold water was very refreshing.  Hope you are all asleep.  I may have to return to bed for an hour later.  Listened to Joe Bidens speech.  He seems an improvement on DT which is positive and he praised Barack Obama.   Lily I hope you are asleep.

Good morning Rosie and all to follow.
It was miserable night for me. I was extremely tired from work outside but couldn't fall asleep. Ofcourse it's hot again.

Have a nice day you all. I'll try rest a bit over day.

A very good morning to you. I was up at 04:00 Rosie but I got back off to sleep. I haven't heard a sound from my friend but she wants me to wake her at 08:00 to get on her way home. Ante, so very sorry to hear about your horrid night. I hope that you can find a shady corner and have a little rest time.

T'Bird, my hairdresser cut loads off my hair and my next cut will be much less severe. I am pretty happy with the way it looks just now - scruffy! I hate my hair being all smooth and tidy. Glad to hear that the flying ended satisfactorily - and before this wind we have today made its appearance. Yvie, I see that at least the meeting between Secondborn and in-laws was civilised, if a little awkward. My sports car, the one before this one I have now had six gears too. I loved that car. Most electric/hybrid cars are automatic Yvie, it depends on the degree of hybrid as there are 3 types. Hope your microwave arrives sooner rather than later.

Good morning all. Dry here and very breezy. Off for my Friday walk with my sister today, her middle daughter got her exam results yesterday but all is well and she is going on to do A levels so one less thing to worry about.
Sorry to hear you slept badly Ante hope you can have an easy day and an early night. Few people are sleeping well theses days I think ,we all have a lot on our minds
Hope everyone has a good Friday.

I had a wonderful day yesterday and the pub quiz was so well organised. The four of us had a nice meal and we came 16th in the quiz. Last night the prize money was being paid out to first place and 17th place so we were just one point too good! We can't make next month but are booked for October when the Quiz Night returns to its normal slot on Tuesday nights. Yes, indeed T'Bird, it feels really nice being able to do 'normal' things again.
