    Good morning all 😊 ☕

    Glad you’re happy with the table @Pat E 😃

Hope others had a better night than we did đŸ„”Â

The weather app says we have fog ... we don’t, we have sunshine ... it says we’ll have a cloudy day and storms arriving in the wee small hours ... it says @WonkyWomble will have storms this afternoon ⛈
not sure how reliable this app is đŸ€”

  • Morning all,
It's raining here, garden so needs it and I'm hoping it will give us a little breather from the customers.  We only have 9 tables  (24 seats) inside so there are limits as to what we can do, there are 36 seats on the terrace so hopefully a bit easier, although there are stairs to contend with indoors.

We'll see if weather forecast works out better than yours @Dovefromabove. 😅

    Morning all.

    Thank you @D0rdogne_Damsel and @Lizzie27

Glad you are so busy DD, but you must be at risk too with so many people around you. Your friend sounds like you!

Thunderstorms and lots of lovely rain last night. We couldn't eat outside but had drinks on the veranda while the children played upstairs. I took a back seat. Son did the BBQ and salads and his wife and his friend helped, they dealt with the children and their meal. The children ate in the living room and the adults in the dining room, both rooms have French windows so they were open. It was still warm.

Cooler this morning outside, but kitchen is 25°, I've opened the door. Still raining.

Sad about your family @Yviestevie, I hope they can stay friends for the children's sake.

    Morning all, afternoon Pat
Glad you found a way to make it work BusyL.
Dove, not sure we will be getting any... keeps missing us!
There was a party at the house next door last night. Really considerate considering its a work night and everyone is having to sleep with windows open!!!! Heard some gobby little girl shouting street tough talk trying to sound gangster.....I may have shouted something back after being woken up!  :#
Not to mention that she said she had travelled half way across the country to come to this house party.... during a pandemic!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone else had better sleep than I did! Take care out there folks!

Good morning everyone.   We had some spectacular lightning last night and the sound of heavy rain on the roof and shutters had me up out of bed and checking for what was breaking but it was just hail on the front door which has no shutter.   OH slept thru it. Just dribbles expected today tho there's heavy rain circling all around but not over the Vendée which is frustrating but the "grass" is already looking greener tho I expect that's the weeds which always recover faster.

SM run for me later this morning with a quick nip into the DIY store.  Might do some weeding later while the soil is soft and the deeper rooted ones are easy to pull.

Glad you're busy @D0rdogne_Damsel but it must be exhausting too.  Better than not having the customers tho.    I hope your son continues to manage all your visitors @Busy-Lizzie and that it all goes well for you and them.

    Stay safe and well everyone.

Oh dear @WonkyWomble ... was it a load of 18yr
olds? With A level results due today I can’t think of another excuse for
    party on a Wednesday đŸ€·â€â™€ïžÂ

Hope you’re not too tired today.

Morning all/afties Pat. Hope you enjoy using your table. Good for the 'too cold/hot to be outside' occasions  ;)
Been quite cloudy/misty here, and the grass is all dewy. I went out early because it's still too hot & busy, later on. Nice and quiet
That's what we had the other night too @AuntyRach.
So sorry @Yviestevie. She'll get there - she has you to lean on, and that's a huge thing. Like @Dovefromabove and @D0rdogne_Damsel, I've been there, and we get through it. The better the two adults can behave, the better for everyone, especially with young children. That sometimes mean biting your tongue, but it's the only way. Thinking of you all. x
@WonkyWomble, some people simply have no consideration, as we've seen everywhere in the UK in the last few months.  Thoughtless, rude and self obsessed. No wonder people get angry. My youngest often has to be up at 4am for work, and if there's a lot of noise till later, its very difficult for her to get enough sleep.

    Morning all.

Misty and muggy here - guess it’s heading for you East Anglians very soon.  Rain in the forecast for the foreseeable - I guess that’s why we have to be careful what we wish for.

Off for coffee with some friends now, then a day of all the chores I have been putting off because it is toooooo hotđŸ„”

Think they are older than that Dove. According to their long suffering other occupier of another room in the shared house, it is because they are spoilt, inconsiderate, work shy, soft centred youngsters.... his words not mine!
