Had trouble getting on again Rosie, perhaps it's the weekend gremlins running late.
Been quiet on here this afternoon, perhaps we're all having problems.
Been a beautiful afternoon, have done some weeding and other trimming etc. Garden bin for collection tomorrow so it's nice a full. Had recycling collection today, left a couple of folded down cardboard boxes by the side like I have many times before.........and they left them there 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I'll break them down and put them inside.
Relaxing in the garden with a cup of tea
Hope you've all had a good day.

Hi Hazel, you snuck in. How lovely to see 23 and his Daddy.  He'll have lots of fun with the Toy story toys......23 I mean, although I expect his Daddy will too 😉

Evening all - busy day today. SM run this morning, car booked for MOT, made a start on cutting the hedge (it's a biggun) and been to look at cars for reasons I don't fully understand...

I do agree it's satisfying to clean the gunk out of pipes but doing it definitely gives me the boke as they say in Scottie land.

IKEA - hmmm - I have such a love-hate relationship with that shop. Love the prices and some of the things they sell. Hate the claustrophobic layout, the distance to travel to one and the fact that I go in to buy a £9.99 item and come out with a trolley of stuff and a bill for £90.99. All those little bits & pieces soon add up.

Was it LB who said how much she enjoyed Friday's GW?. I agree - it was excellent and I learned some new stuff. Never knew about notching to stimulate bottom growth on shrubs. Going to try it this week.

Hazel - I love children at age 2 to 3. Personalities really starting to develop and you can have a conversation with them but they're still so sweet and innocent. Enjoy your time with 23 at the weekend.

Aww, I agree with you Topbird......we don't have an Ikea close by. About an hours drive and the main road just before it is like taking your life in your hands. It's too far to go for a mooch and I too hate the layout....god knows what it must be like now. I'm sure if there was a fire or any need to leave quickly it would be hell. I usually go with my dil now, I like all the little things in the Market place, rugs, etc and some of the furniture, but not the flat pack.  Just wish there was one nearer.

Hello everyone. I've managed to get Lily's TV things dried and stashed (from yesterday) and I've planted out some Primose seedlings - some of my own and some from my Bestie who wanted rid - they are not plastic you see! 😂😂😂. I also planted out some Epimediums and a Tropaeolum speciosum. Tomatoes and peas are looking good as is the cut and come again lettuce.
Yes, T'Bird, it was me who really enjoyed GW last Friday and learned the notching techniques. I think that there will be some car bargains for sale just now after the last few months of none being bought. I might go and have a mosey myself. Sorry, bit of a petrol head here but I would like to look at some of the hybrid and electric cars. Anyone can dream can't they???
Nice to see a comma butterfly Yvie. I keep wondering if I will see loads of painted ladies like last year. I've had peacocks, red admirals and tortoiseshells so far on the Buddleja outside the back door.

    Good morning to all!

T'bird, Thank you very much for the recipe. Sounds delicious. I must buy muscovado sugar and mustard seeds, other ingredients have.

I was all day yesterday at cottage. There is a lot to do but now I have time. It was hot and today will be. Already is 28 ℃.

    Have anice day all.
