Good Morning LB, Ante, Lily & Topbird, Hazel and all to follow, hooray for the weekend 🥳
LB Lovely picture of the Sweet-peas, hope you will soon have your new gate installation,
Ante, that’s a lovely harvest collection and very cheery sunflowers, enjoy your day of relaxation today,
Lily Not a very restful night for you, take it easy today. I’m sure your Salvia cuttings will be successful it’ll be good to have a try,
T’bird That was a nice break away for you both, got to have your long awaited fish & chips and helped MIL with the garage clearing. Will your plans for new Windows and front door be going ahead now?
Hazel I’m pleased to see the end of this week now just two days to go 😅 I like the sound of your bargain coat, I took the plunge and went to a local GC on Wednesday morning it was lovely and quiet and I really enjoyed having a look round.
Hope you have a good day everyone.

Thanks T'bird and Hazel. I read about courgette seeds problem and also saw what happened to Pansy. We didn't have this problem, lucky. It's better be careful than regret later.

Hazel, every two or three days I have few pound of courgette. I give major part to neighbours and friends. Maybe because of that they avoid me lately😂. I'll also look for some way to preserve them for winter. Never done that.

Morning all, a relatively early start for me as I wanted to get to the phone shop to get all my data transferred before going over to Secondborns.  Dropped the phones off and need to pick them up at around 11.30.  I know I could have done it myself but to be honest for £15 I couldn't be bothered with all the stress and worry that I might lose photos etc.
Your harvest looks great Ante.  I hope I get a good one next year when I venture into veg growing.
I agree with you all about feeling much more tired this year.  I think it's down to worry and stress.  Even though you think you are coping OK subconsciously I think we are all struggling.  A lot of us are worrying about our children, grandchildren and parents which is a lot of baggage to be dealing with.
    Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning SGL, T'Bird, Hazel, Ruby, Chive, and Yvie. Sorry that you had another broken night SGL. Its no fun is it as you feel worn out for the rest of the day. My hairdresser hasn't mentioned anything about extra costs. I'll find out next month I suppose. I won't begrudge it if I have to pay a little extra because it has been forced upon them. T'Bird, I have sent Col TT on an undercover op. to zap Boris! Hazel, I remember my aunt giving me whisky in hot milk once when I was staying with her and I was unwell. It really did the trick. At the time (late teens) I did think it was a weird combination, but I swear by it now. Yvie, I was a bit shocked when I read that you were being charged for having your data transferred to your new phone. My service provider did it for nothing, and I hadn't even got the phone from them, I bought it separately.

LB, didn't go to my service provider.  I've used a local shop that has sorted out our ipads and laptops in the past.  I don't mind paying as it's so useful to have them on the doorstep and I suspect that lots of local businesses are struggling at the moment.  Likewise I gave my hairdresser a decent tip.  She hasn't raised prices despite having had no income for a few months and having to buy extra PPE etc.

Oh thats a good thing you've done then Yvie. Especially as they are known to you. I feel desperately sorry for small business owners as it must be hell for them. I saw a lady in Leicester yesterday having to shut up her business. So sad.

The cost of my cut and blow dry has increased by £10 to £30. Admittedly that's still a lot less than many salons are charging but a 50% increase seemed a bit steep. She does a decent job though so I'll pay up and shut up. May just increase the interval between visits a little though...

Ante - I have a very nice easy recipe for sweet pickled courgettes if you'd like it. They're ready to eat just a few days after making and are a nice crisp, sweet and sour accompaniment to cold meats. They don't keep for years like some pickles and relishes but they're good for a few months.

Ouch T'Bird, that is a hike but, as you say, you are pleased with the service. I will definitely reduce my haircuts as I have got quite used to the length it is so basically I could reduce my haircuts to twice a year - trimming the excess fringe as and when. Bestie's daughter does the colour and I've appointments until the 'C' word so I quite happy.
    Think its quiz time now.
p.s. you snuckered in Hazel. £1 is a bargain.
