    Dark.
    Black clouds.
Half a dozen splatters of rain on the window.
    Nothing.
    Sounds like a tanka:

    A faint clap of thunder.
    Clouded skies.
    Perhaps rain comes.
If so, will you stay here with me?

    A faint clap of thunder.
    Even if rain comes not.
    I will stay here,
    Together with you

I watched the 6 o’clock news tonight. Not only was A level results day the main story, it went on for 13 sodding minutes. Overkill, I thought.

Now when I was alive (as I heard someone say once on a Radio Leicester phone-in) it was not even mentioned.

It's a wee mite different this year @BenCotto and not at all like when I were a lass.  I'd be bloody furious if my child's results were 2 grades below expected and fit to do some damage.   I hope the idiots who have presided over this mess reap what they have sown, even if they fix it, cos by the time they do change their minds all the available places at uni/college/apprenticeships will have gone.   Futures doubly blighted.

We had torrential rain for about 3 minutes at about 7am. Then at about 3-4ish there were rumbles, and rumbles, and rumbles, and it got dark, darker, and darker still. The excitement built... then it rained, a bit, for a few minutes. *Somewhere* was very wet, but not here :-|

That lot never do the reaping. They let others do it and they take the credit, but never the blame.
That being said, there's precious little credit to be reaped.
