Under normal circumstances, these people would be in a tower block in Benidorm. God willing, they'll be back there next year. Think of their neighbours. They've got them for the other 50 weeks of the year
Imagine having to deal with them every day in your job..
Talking of which, why do parents behave so appallingly.Watching a little 3 or 4 year old wanting to pay for the toys in their hands only for the parent/s to get really angry at the child for being honest.
Child insists the item needs to be offered up to be paid for only for said parent to grip the child so hard it winces in pain. It's enough to make you weep.
It's so hot down here. My skin has been leaking all day. One minute they forecast rain. You look again and they've updated it for the day after tomorrow😡
We've just had a very sudden and very heavy thunderstorm. I got a bit damp closing greenhouses and removing sun shading so stood out on the lawn and let the rain finish the job. Very refreshing in a so cold you can barely breathe kind of way I had to give it up when the hail started though
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Could you send a bit our way. Not a drop in weeks. Anything planted this year is wilting, and even a long standing buddleja on the front is a bit droopy.
Tonight I watched a council planning meeting. Can anyone tell me why Tree protection Orders are put on trees, then when a developer wants to cut them down to cram as many houses on the site as possible, and the locals are up in arms about it, the council just rolls over and lets the developer do what he likes. Sod the trees, sod the wildlife, ignore the voters. Much muttering about brown envelopes and back pockets going on.
I know this doesn't apply to many if you, but I'm getting fed up with trying to keep things alive in this heat. It's become a real chore. Maybe I need to let them go and look at this drought as a planting opportunity for next year😕
I don't think I'll be needing to water anything for a few days after that one and hopefully all that lightning fixed the nitrogen in the air into free plant food as well. All my tillandsia can have a dunk in a water butt tomorrow if it gets warm enough in the sun. The fresh nitrogen-loaded rain water will do them good.
