Question - Which is worse for our planet, an exponential growth in population or a slow decline in numbers? According to the adverts, millions are already starving so logic would seem to suggest that a lower birth rate would be better for the overall good.
Very annoyed! Caught the little bugger in the act, or should that be bu**er😀 @Dovefromabove. I’ve sowed some more of your delph requienii slug resistant 🤬🤬🤬🤬Â

The massive decline in the population as a result of the Black Death caused a labour shortage and increased wages, which resulted in a higher standard of living and greater freedom.
It did in England @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool but not so much in rural Ireland, Scotland, France, Russia and other societies which clung to the feudal structure and fiefdoms.
Went for a walk today and saw two interesting things: 1. A child's drum kit out for the taking. It had obviously been a present from a bad Santa. 2. Some really natural -looking plastic grass. It had weeds growing through it and it even had random brown patches!
Why do so many adverts on TV now have doorbells ringing in them? I'm constantly up and down to check who's at the door. We have a large through room so I hear the TV even when I'm not the one watching it!
The local teenagers are getting worse. Last night was the second all night party up in the woods. At about 1am two boys were having a slanging match in the street outside then the first wave of people going home came past at about 4am then another at 5am all shouting as noisily as they could. I think one of their teachers lives a few doors up so they make a point of shouting as much as they can as they go past. I've just had to go and remove a pallet and a load of litter off the street that they've dumped too. It's a national problem though https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-53439091

Plastic grass and people who buy children noisy toys are two of my favourite things
I was that bad Santa ... a couple we were friends with had one of those 'perfect quiet children' who never did anything wrong or needed any reprimands at the age of about 3 or 4 ... we on the other hand had a normal intelligent inquisitive mischievous child ... so we bought their child that drumkit 😈

I gave my kids some old biscuit tins to bash. It's the tuneless, battery-powered plastic junk that I can't stand. That and the wooden xylophone from Morrisons that has six bars, two of which sound identical and which has been laid out in size order not scale order. Not very confusing to a one year old who plays it like someone beating a rat to death though admittedly.Â
