In our supermarket there has been no streaky bacon or packets of cooked ham for 2 weeks now. Is this the new panic buy?
Probably due to the occurrences of Covid 19 in some abbattoirs down to the chilled wet conditions and difficulties of 'socially isolating' ... think some places are still closed.

@herbaceous there's a craft thread. I can't remember what it's called. Someone there might be able to help you

Thank you @B3 that's a very kind thought but I have now sewn the sleeves into the correct sides and suddenly the numbers all add up.  I love knitting and crochet but I hate sewing - sadly there are usually bits to be attached whatever I make  :s

My fan flew apart when I was assembling it for the summer. I got it working - mostly,  I was left with a couple of bits and a spring that I didn't know what to do with so I know what you mean😊

I am so glad @B3 that I am not the only one!  I have a tin full of bits left over from 'mending' electrical stuff........

I think you're far from alone there, many knitters I know hate the making up.  Maybe there's a living to be made there, or at least a supplementary income; you know, like those people that advertise their services for assembling flat pack furniture.

What a great idea! I wonder @josusa47 whether I could advertise for a job swap, you know, I have a cardigan that needs making up anyone want their wardrobe assembled?

I would rather shovel farmyard waste than try and stitch sleeves in place - mind you it is easier when you attach them to proper side  :D

    Aphid fondling observation:
Aphids on tomatoes are drier and crunchier than aphids on other plants.

Are you eating them or squashing them @B3 ?

Squashing. They get stuck to the plant so I can't eat them.
