I’m off to bed soon - might try to get to the SM fairly early tomorrow. Don’t know if they still have the special oldies hour before 9am. I’m not old enough for that 🤭 so no point in getting up with the sparrers.
Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling a bit low too LB. I think things just catch up with us sometimes don’t they? For me it’s really starting to sink in just how abnormal things are going to be for a long time to come. But we’re healthy & have a regular income so much more fortunate than so many people.
Our libraries reopen tomorrow which I was really looking forward to (love being around books). But you can’t go in and browse the shelves or use the computers. For some reason you can’t request books online at the moment either & all the regular group meetings are suspended. As far as I can see, all you can do is return books you’ve got on loan - but not obvious how you get new ones. Don’t really see the point...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening all, Been catching up with family and friends on Zoom calls and phone too today. And now have just woken up from a doze on the sofa. Hazel it's been really windy here too today although we have had some sunshine too. The oak tree is still safe thank you and has been whirling around most of the day. It's been here in our garden probably before the house was built and possibly part of the woodland in the beginning. Must admit I do really love it, but like you wouldn't by choice plant anything tall. But it's a beautiful shape and quite large. We have had it chopped, a few years ago now and could probably do with another. Hope the weather calms down so you are able to visit your mum. Chive, we're both well thank you, but haven't gone for a walk for a couple of weeks now. Last week the weather was too cold and wet......but really must try to go out again soon. Topbird, sorry you're feeling a bit down. You have had some sad and stressful times these last few months which is probably catching up with you as well as coping with these crazy months we are all going through. I know there are some days I can cope and there are others when it really gets to me. LB, I too am glad we are all here for each other and can come on here and chat or do your lovely quizzes. I hope all you lovely friends on here are keeping well. Take care every one of you, stay safe. Together we can get through this. Goodnight everyone, sleep well, tomorrow hopefully will be a better day. x
Good morning all! Sunny day here and I have the afternoon off work I may tackle some of the weeds growing in the front garden. We have block paving and it’s a nightmare!
Can anyone identify this butterfly I saw on my tomato plants yesterday? Hope it’s not the “ Greater monochrome tomato eating butterfly”
A very good morning to you Debs and Ante and all to arrive later. Oh my SGL, I really had a smile brought to my face by your lovely squirrel picture this morning. Thank you. Debs, your butterfly is a marbled white butterfly. Their caterpillars feed on grasses so your tomatoes are quite safe. What a beauty it is too.
Ante, stay strong you know you can do it!
I will replace the coffee with tea of course but the sentiments remain the same
p.s. I think I'll choose sunflower!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning Debs, Ante and all to follow. Ante I meant to say yesterday, what beautiful Gladioli and such lovely colours too. Debs, does look a bit moth like. Hope it's not the tomato eating butterfly, great markings though. It's a sunny morning, hope the wind has died down. I'm going to rub down the wooden double seat today......think they call it a love seat......it has a table top inbetween Hope LB & TB are feeling a bit more like themselves today. Big hugs Must go and get some breakfast. Take care everyone, have a lovely day
Hi LB, you weren't there when I posted and even when I looked back again at Debs post. Very strange. Good to see you, wondered where you were, hope you're feeling more like our LB today. Take care x

Night night everyone
Debs, I think that this is some variety of moth. The shape of wings and hairy backs are characteristic for moth.
Here is warm and sunny too. I must go to shopping 😠 with my sister. I don't like shopping.
LB and T'bird, sorry to hear that you two feel little bit low. Sunny day and work in the garden can heal that feeling quickly.
Have a nice day you all.
