Hi Hazel! School is over for pupils and I'm at school till 25 July. Then I'll be back at school at 18 August for preparation for new school year.

Rubee, I love those two. I can feel tension from the photo😂.

Afternoon All, hurrah I can see clearly now LB 👍😀
T’bird What an interesting history to Dunwich, I wouldn’t want to hear the bells though 🙀
Hazel it will be lovely to see your son and family together, hope you have a nice catch up with them. Have you had a chance to try out your new seat yet?
Lily yes it was a torrential rainfall during the night but certainly no cooler, it’s a sticky horrible heat now 🥵
Rubee the photo of Alfie & Bruno is fantastic, what a lot can be said in their expressions without saying a word!
Ante nice to hear from you, weeds are plentiful here too, how are all your fruit trees and vegetables? growing well I hope 🤞
    Have a lovely afternoon.

Hi folks, It's still much too hot here today.  I've been suffering with a horrible bout of IBS over the past couple of days so I'm staying cool in the sitting room next to the fan. We have an aircon unit in the bedroom.  Don't use it very often but it's a godsend in weather like this.  Can't think of anything worse than sitting on a crowded beach next to loads of sweaty bodies have always gone out of our way to find a quiet spot.  Hope everyone is OK.

Afties all. I nearly jumped out of my skin half an hour ago. Without any warning and the sun still shining, there was a huge roll of thunder which sounded just like a wall collapsing. Within ten minutes after that the rain came and it is still persisting down now. Mrs Dunnock was seen on the top of the back gate and she hopped down towards her nest. The eggs may be hatching soon. Chive, woo hoo!  Glasses on Apple
Yvie, sorry to hear about the IBS. Hope you are feeling more comfortable now.

A friend has just sent me a picture showing me some vegan meringues she has just made. I asked her what she used instead of egg whites and was told aquafaba. Apparently this is chick pea water straight from the tin.
    Here they are:
