I've just deadheaded mine too, as they were going over from the first flush..
...Susan Williams-Ellis... a bit worse for wear.. I can't wait for this bud to open, despite being weather beaten, the scent from it is outstanding.. a really strong apple fragrance, even on such a cool day. 'Carmen Wurth'.. Astrantia 'Roma'... Geranium 'Eureka'..
@Marlorena thank you so much for taking the time to respond, really useful info! That's a shame to hear about your Desdemona not responding well to being moved...I think I will just leave mine for now as it's got lots of new blooms and new strong growth. It clearly likes the spot where it's growing. Maybe I should just order another one, but just ordered Eustacia Vye, Gabriel Oak and Aloha and my rose budget for the year is spent...will need to think about the fate of my Desdemona a bit more I think!
Interesting to hear that DA have used Aloha a lot in their breeding. Good to hear it's rather upright as I prefer this quality in my climbers. Was just admiring my Shropshire Lad that has come to bloom quite late, but has such lovely upright growth.
My Vanessa Bell is only in year 2, so I've now got high hopes for it for next year!
Thank you Marlorena & edhelka. You both are so knowledgable and willing to advise anyone who asks. I still like Scented Garden and am looking forward to seeing its true beauty.
..nice colourful rambler of similar proportions.. I hope it does well for you...
The bees certainly approve, they were already landing on it as I carried it to the planting place. The flowers remind me of Crategus 'Crimson Cloud', not blue at all. They look redder in real life than this photo.

...this old bloom on 'Jardin des Tuileries' opened 6 days ago, I showed a photo earlier... since then it's been through wind, rain, thunderstorms, hail... and today was its last day... a great survivor for a semi double.. ...now I have nice new buds waiting to open..
...this angry looking opening bloom is 'Eisvogel'... much too cold for him today.. maybe nice tomorrow..
'Chandos Beauty'.. one of the most deliciously scented roses, but with a strange growth habit, almost like a shrub/small climber, it throws out lanky canes that need support... also some of the outer petals suffer in my no spray garden, via insects and weather damage... I sometimes remove these to smarten it up,.. none have been removed here.. but I find it difficult to keep the purity of the blooms..
...this is the base of my 'Scepter'd Isle' rose which is about 5.5 feet tall and wide... after several years it has decided to throw out at least 10 new canes from the base... I've counted them..
...there is a rather ugly green rose called Rosa viridiflora and whilst this is not that, my Echinacea 'Green Twister' sort of resembles it... I grew these from seed and it's the first year they will bloom.. not quite there yet..
Marlorena, do you have a recommendation for a blue geranium with a long flowering season? Like Rozanne or bluer, not too tall, no too vigorous. Does something like that exist? I have Anne Thomson and love it for its long flowering season, something similar but slightly more compact and blue would be perfect. I also like magnificum but I think it's too purple and tall.

..all those lovely buds to open, quite a cluster..
Geranium 'Cream Chocolate'... I have what must be a 20 foot stretch of this very long flowering Geranium...

...you might like Geranium 'Orion'.. after the main flush, if you chop it back, it will rebloom again into autumn...
...you wouldn't want magnificum, it only flowers in June... but it's quite nice with yellow roses..
