    Marlorena your garden is such an explosion of colours! It must be so enjoyable having a stroll in it on a calm day.. the visual and olfactory experience must be out of this world! I’m enjoying learning about the bigger world of non-DA roses.. do you ever wish you have an even bigger garden?

    ...thank you Adrian... olfactory makes me feel good today, as I've just sniffed Jardin des Tuileries and it's fabulous..

    ...you know, one of the biggest mistakes I made was downsizing to a smaller garden.. fine if you don't like gardening... madness if you do...  I used to have 1/4 acre which was just right, not too big,... now my scope is so limited, it's frustrating..

    ..still no rain here.  I gather everyone else has had some... dry as a bone where I am..
    but this electric blue Anchusa 'Loddon Royalist' is great with pink roses I think... doesn't last long, a couple of years and they seem to need replacing..

    Although we have had a little rain, my garden's still very dry and some of my perennials are suffering. I think I'm going to follow your example Marlorena and plant more roses instead, on the grounds that their roots grow further down so won't wilt as much. I believe this hot weather is likely to continue in future years so we'll need to re-think what we grow. Do you agree?

    ...they were a young couple who were not gardening people, so they dug it all up... all my rose garden... laid it all to lawn.. I don't blame them, not everyone wants to garden with roses...  same will happen here eventually, and I'm the same, because I dug out all the plants the previous owner put in when we moved in.. I did keep one Azalea though..

    @Lizzie27
    ...yes it looks that way.. but I won't be buying any more roses with massive blooms, fully doubles, because they require too much moisture, which I can't provide these days.. so it's singles and semi doubles from now on.. they don't want half as much fuss..

    ...thanks Voyager.. yes it's turned out a great rose this one..
