When I woke up this morning I slowly became aware of a beeping sound. It took me some time to work out what it was. I knew it wasn't a smoke alarm because both of mine were consigned to the garage as they went off randomly every day when I had my shower. I know this would probably be regarded as rash but they were driving me crazy - going off within about 1 minute of being reset. They were both well in date too. Anyway, I finally twigged what it was - my carbon monoxide sensor. When I picked it up I read on the back of the unit 'Replace by September 2019'. Ooops! That can now join the other random beepers in the garage until I can take them to the recycle centre. One of my first jobs today is to get a replacement.

Good morning all.  Been sanding and repainting, sprucing things up.  But down came the rain late yesterday afternoon and it seems to be continuing today.  Drop in temperature (22°C) but not cold.  Good for the garden but it will be snail hunting today.  Oh those pesky critters!!!  Have a good day everyone.

Morning Tui. I expect there will be a population explosion of slugs and snails now that the hot, dry weather is over with. I was finding the dreaded lily beetle around my lilies yesterday so there will be another hunt due today. Its 10°C here at the moment so it is much cooler. I'm resisting the temptation to put the heating on for an hour's boost!

Morning @Ladybird4.  Good intentions but I have gone back to bed with another cup of tea and a cruise around this site!    Forecast to clear up so I shall dig up some new potatoes and make a potato salad.

    Morning everyone 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️
    Very grey and overcast
    this morning and oh
    so chilly.
    Must admit number
    3 was a guess LB,
    I didn't know and I
    would have guessed
    Jade for number 10,  but
didn't have a Scooby. But great quiz, thank you LB.
    It's been raining
    overnight here too
    and looks like it
    could pour down any
minute. Good for the garden and saves my water on the meter😕
    Not been up long,
Birds woke me up at again at 4 o'clock.........its Thursday,  they've obviously forgotten the clapping stopped last week 😉😂
    Off for cup of tea
and some toast. Have a lovely day everyone, take care  TTFN
