Good Morning LB & Ante and all to follow, sorry to hear that Nigel has passed away that is sad he was a lovely dog and Monty clearly thought the world of him. LB very early start for you but understandable with a delivery coming, it’s awful to get caught out and forced to answer the door in a disarray. Another good slogan they are so clever, Ante good that you’ve had the rain you wanted, that will help everything you have growing. Sorry to hear you will be losing several pupils today that will be an unpleasant meeting. The dessert will be something to look forward to later on 🙂 I have a treat parcel to send to FIL today so will be taking my daily exercise to the PO first, I wonder if they still have any plants outside 🤔 I may be a while 😬 Have a good day everyone.Â
Good morning everyone . So sad about Nigel,he was such a lovely dog .Thats an early delivery LB . You will be able to put it all away then relax with a cuppa . Ante I wish I was as organised as you . You seem to be able to get a lot of jobs done in a day . Chive , I was reading about the big river site last week . I didn’t realise that you can purchase a gift and they will send it for you , even gift wrap ,and bill the buyer as normal .I think I will be using that option until C19 settles down .
Morning Ante, Chive and Ruby. Delivery arrived at 06:39. Several items were unavaiable but nothing very critical. I've filled the bird seeders - got the hint from my favourite robin who gave me a Paddington Bear 'hard stare' through the kitchen window - and cleaned the birdbath and as I was re-hanging the feeders it started to pour down. Raining steadily now but I don't really mind Ante, as like you my flowers need it. I suppose that has put a stop to any ideas of gardening but never mind. Its quite sad Ante when you are put into the difficult position of having to decide about which of your students have to drop.
Before I forget, Chey asked me to pass on his love to you all. He is missing Rez but is having rather difficult health issues at the moment.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone. Â As you say, so sad to hear of Nigel the Golden Retriever, such an important member of the team. Â He will be sadly missed. He leaves Nellie and Pattie and Monty and Sarah. Â I was woken up by my furry friend trying to burrow into bed.Â
Morning all. The sun is shining, but boy is it chilly. Hand washing done and on the line, machine whirling around, wet cloth things will be on the line soon. Garden bin being collected today, it's absolutely full. Loads more to put in too. Phew, LB that's an early delivery, you must have got up with the birds. What a lovely surprise for your FIL Chive, nothing like a parcel or surprise letter/card arriving. Hope Chey feels better soon. Take care. Listening to the radio at the mo, they've just said on the news that parents are signing a petition for not sending their children back to school yet. I agree its far too early. Especially for the tiny ones, they won't understand to stay away from their little friends and be too close.Â
Afternoon all - a grey and cold day here but (as ever) I wish we could have some of the rain you've had. Will have to think about watering the beds again soon- we've had very little rain since March.
Nice bill board this morning LB 🙂
I too was sorry to learn about the death of Nigel. He was a real diva and the star of GW! Looked like a proper companion dog. I'm glad Monty has Nell and Patty to look after and cuddle but there will always be a Nigel sized hole in is heart. Trimming the yew topiary will be particularly emotional this year.

Hazel - what was it like in your town? There were noticeably more cars around when I went to the SM yesterday but when walked down to Boots through the new shopping centre, it was like a ghost town. Not a single shop open there - all clothes, electronics, restaurants and cafés - so classed as non-essential retailers. I was the only one walking through and my footsteps echoed off the concrete and buildings. Fully expected to see a ball of tumble weed bowling along. Wonder how many of those shops will still be there in a year's time. Very sobering.
