I was watering my pots in front garden this morning early and hose was running through house, I moved it into back garden to top up water feature and it burst! So grateful it wasn’t 2 minutes earlier as it would have soaked carpet and splashed newly decorated walls! Am going to order another as that one lasted 3 years and I am not careful with it but now face a week of watering cans! Could have been worse though!

Morning Rosie, Tui, Chive, Debs and Rosie. In for a cuppa having done some work in the garden and taking two armfuls of stuff to the green bin. Birds are fed and bird baths are scrubbed and refilled. Well Debs, that is our 3rd hose incident so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. (hopefully!). Think of all the watering can trips as your exercise for today. I am.
Tui, I had to look up your Chaine of Hearts plant as it was not too familiar to me. How pretty it is. Fingers crossed that your cuttings all root!

Yes it could have been worse and my new hose will be here by next week hopefully. The only real problem is a hanging basket that’s too high to reach so may need to take that down and look after it until hose arrives. Need to go to allotment later! More watering cans!

Morning SGL. You snuckered in there. Weeding is excellent exercise!

Come in for an early lunch . It’s very hot outside . I am in the process or rearranging two borders . It hasn’t been done for a few years ,and was badly in need of attention. Time for a cuppa .

Hi folks, taking it easy today after clearing, cleaning and painting shed yesterday both Hubby and I are very achey and tired. It's a beautiful day so I sat in the garden earlier and painted a couple of wooden flower troughs that were part of the flower display at Secondborn's wedding.  I might use one as a window box on the shed and the other inside to keep odds and ends in.  Other than that all I've done is plant a small shrub that I've had hanging around for ages.  Sorry to hear about the hose Debs, it sounds as if it could have been much worse though. I need to feed the clems and cannas, wonder if I have enough energy

@Ladybird4 I gave a pot of Chain of Hearts to an English friend last year.  She always brings me down magazines, Marmite and PG Tips, gingernuts when they come.  As she is 83 and a bit of a creakin' door, I was worried I wouldn't see her again - I'm so glad I gave her that potted plant now, as I don't think they will be down this year!

Very hot today - deadheaded the roses - they're a mess and found I was being watched by a huge brown sauterelle (grasshopper?)  I too, came in early because of the heat!  Oh well, everyone in the shade got a drink this morning - and that's important!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
