Hi all, picked neighbour up from hospital she has broken a couple of small bones in her wrist and is in plaster. She is not in any pain but I think quite badly shaken up. Made her a cuppa and a sandwich and made her promise to ask if she needs help. She is 84 lives alone and very independent I always say she is a shining example of how to age well. Had a quiet day otherwise you have all obviously been busy

Debs you can relax now , you did the right thing .That  break could have disabled your neighbours wrist for a long time . She is lucky to have you as a neighbour .

Well done Debs and thanks for the update. You are a good neighbour to have. I hope that the hospital put one of the lightweight plasters on for her.

A very good morning to one and all. Having saturated my garden yesterday and having a sneaky hope that there would be rain in the forecast soon it appears not. Never mind. I have some more potting on to do - nearly at the end of it now and more dead camellia flowers to rake up.
Debs, I expect that looking after your neighbour yesterday may have disrupted your garden/allotment watering plans so is that what you will be doing today?

Good morning LB I did get to allotment to water last night but there is more to do today. Luckily it’s my day off so plenty of time to get on top of things. Overcast here but warm and no rain forecast for a while. I have offered to keep on top of watering neighbours garden not usually an issue with my long hose, there is only a low wall between our gardens. Hoping for a speedy delivery of my new hose. Have borrowed my daughters spare but it’s not really long enough. Where is the rain when you need it?
Hope you have a pleasant day planned?

I am loving being able to just get out into the garden - tidying up the borders and also watching the antics of the birds. I'm a little disappointed, correction, a LOT disappointed that my new starling proof feeders haven't arrived yet. Fingers crossed they arrive today. They were sent out to me (alledgedly) on May 12th so you would think that they would have got here by now. Anyway, thats my moan over with for the day. Hope your neighbour has had a restful night.
