Busy morning had to take my elderly neighbour to hospital she had a fall in the garden and her wrist looked most peculiar. We couldn’t go in but left phone number for her to ring for collection. Hope we did the right thing it’s a difficult one but she wanted to go and I do think she needed an x ray.

Debs you did the right thing . If your neighbours wrist could be broken it needs attention .Old bones don’t heal very well particularly if they are left for very long . If your neighbour wanted to go to hospital , she probably thought she needed an X-ray too .

@Rubee you are probably right but I did worry as she has been so very careful and hospitals are not the best place to be. Just waiting for her to phone to be picked up.

    Afternoon All,
Debs that was a very kind act helping your neighbour, I hope she is ok,
Hazel 🥳 the greenhouse is done excellent, now for the fun bit preparing for all the plants 🌱🌱
I trimmed back a Photinia Red Robin this morning the flowers had finished, trying to keep it in a neat’ish shape without being too formal. Made some pork & Apple sausage rolls with my puff pastry  I don’t think they will last very long.
Hope you all have a nice evening.

Afties all. Well I feel like a limp lettuce. It is toasty out there. I've watered everything that needed it, potted on my Cosmos plants and taken their tips out and I am done for the day. Yviestevie its good to upcycle and there will always be the special memories wrapped up in those flower troughs. Tui, I love the grasshopper. Its a shame that your friend won't be able to make a trip this year. My sister and brother-in-law have a static caravan on a site in Var - La Londe-les-Maures and a gang of we ladies go there every Autumn but sadly I cannot see that happening now either. It will be all the nicer when we can go.
Debs, what an angel of mercy you have been today. Your poor neighbour! You did the right thing taking her to hospital. I do hope that she is OK. Hazel, I'm glad that you have got the greenhouse finally erected.

Afternoon LB, I keep having to sign in and the thread posts are very jumpy I see now I have missed several,
Debs lucky for you that your hose incident didn't occur indoors, after all the decorating what a close call!
Rubee it sounds like you were doing some hard graft this morning with moving the borders around, hope you've had an easier afternoon,
Yviestevie I like the sound of your shed revamp, a coat of paint and a good sort out makes a big difference. Lovely idea for the wooden troughs to re-purpose as a window box I'm sure you will find something suitable to plant in there,
Tui That was a large grasshopper keeping an eye on you, rather sad that you may not see your friend this year but I hope you do hear from her,
LB That will be something to look forward to in the not too distant future I hope, sounds like a nice little get away with your friends.
I hope I haven't missed anyone else, every time I refresh I'm booted out again 😐

Hi Chive, I reckon that the weekend gremlins must overflow onto a Bank Holiday!
