    What Chive.....break any lights.....or cleaning 😉🤣🤣
    We're having a lovely lazy day, haven't done much really. I'm in a can't be bothered mood🤪
Your day sounds lovely, very relaxing and peaceful.

Time for a cup of tea......and maybe a biscuit 😋

@Chivetalking That space?  Well, I would have liked a pergola with a nice little bench under it and some climbers over it - BUT - OH says we will use for the time being to stack a load of firewood that is due to be delivered in the next week or so!  Oh well!

Lily 😂😂 I blame the lockdown  I’ve wiped the same things so many times I’ve worn them out!
Tui couldn’t you combine both ideas, use some of the wood for the pergola and a bench seat, keep the rest for storing to burn, it’s a nice big area 🙂

Haha Chive, definitely blame it on  the lockdown 🤪😉
Aww @tuikowhai34 We wanted to build a pergola this year too. Unless we can do it in August early September it will  have to be next year now. 😫

Afternoon all - sorry to have been AWOL for a few days. Catching up with jobs again. Box hedges cut back, straw grass cut, Lily's TV on and dried in about 10 minutes in the wind yesterday, variety of sewing tasks tackled.😴. We're both ready for a change of scenery...

@star gaze lily -  sorry but No you can't have the poppets round just yet. Strictly speaking any meetings should be outdoors and on a one to one basis only. Visiting peoples' houses and social gatherings of more than 2 people not from the same household is still not allowed. My friend was able to go for a walk with her daughter the other day but neither her husband nor any of the grandchildren was allowed to go with them.

I have done like LB did with Jack and invited a friend from across the way over for tea. She brought her own cuppa and we sat in the garden 2m apart. Couldn't see any difference between doing that and sitting in a park. And neither of us had to drive to get there.

Seems crazy that you can't sit in the garden with your grandchildren but you can have an estate agent inside your house assessing the value of your property and showing several groups of complete strangers round.🤨

Not much to report other than I only got about 5 on LB's quiz yesterday!

The sun is peeping through now - not much warmth though. Chive, I DO have some gingerbread left. Some of that with a cuppa sounds ideal for now.
Hello T'Bird. You have been a busy bee. Yes, there are a great deal of anomalies with this social gathering.

@Topbird No, I didn't think I could. Didn't think you could have any family or friend round in the garden either actually.  That's why I asked, thought I might have missed something and they'd changed it.
Googled it earlier and it's the same as before.  Totally agree about people coming round to view houses for sale. OH and I spoke about exactly that the other week. Mind you, who in their right mind would be thinking of moving at the moment anyway 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️  Crazy times😕

SGL -  yes - the rules are that any meetings should be outdoors and then they go on to say you can't go to somebody's house - which sort of implies that private gardens are not considered suitable places to meet.

They always talk about meeting in public spaces and parks - but (round here) there are no parks, beaches or other public spaces other than footpaths. Certainly nowhere for the picnics they keep banging on about.

I guess they're less keen on people meeting in private gardens because there's an increased risk you'll have something to eat or drink or may go into the house to use the loo or because it gets a tad chilly etc.

My own view is that it's still far safer to sit outside (2m apart) in your neighbour's garden drinking your own cup of tea than it is to drive to meet a friend in a park / on a beach - where you may have to use parking machines, public toilets or buy drinks from a takeaway.

Nice to see you Tbird hope you and OH are well, you have managed to do a great deal this past week. All the exterior walls nicely painted and compost bins re-located too?
LB Ooh a gingerbread with a cuppa that’s a treat, I would have to dunk 😛
Lily I’m glad you’ve had an easy day, sometimes you have to say b****r it.
My FIL has been waiting to sell his home since last October, the agents bought a couple round to view this week, he to leave all the internal doors open so they could show them round without touching any door handles or surfaces while he sat in the garden. If it all goes to plan he hopes to move quickly.
