Good morning all.Ā  @D0rdogne_Damsel You are working so hard on your project and in the heat, too!!!Ā  i hope everything grows for you double quick and that your opening will be a success.
@punkdoc No news?Ā  I imagine he is getting the best of care.
@Lizzie27 and @Obelixx Relief to have heard from you daughters.
@Dovefromabove Isn't it strange to go out after such a long time - things are still the same, yet different!Ā  Ā I think I will relax with a little Springwatch this afternoon, too.
    Ā
Cooler down here today - time to get my trusty hoe out and scratch around.Ā  Distributed my purin of nettles yesterday.

I trust you will all have a fruitful gardening day!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Hello everyone. I’ve had a very lazy day, but don’t feel guilty. 😃

playing games on my iPad, etc.    I heard recently that sitting around is the new smoking - health wise.  Luckily I gave up smoking in 1974.😳. One is better than two.

Nothing new here, but we are relaxed and enjoying our time.Ā

Morning all/afties Pat - come on, up and have a run.... :D
I think you and hubby have earned the right to sit on your bums for a whileĀ  ;)
@D0rdogne_Damsel- I stayed in virtually all day yesterday after my walk first thing. I can't do over 20, unless there's a decent wind. It was 27 here yesterday, and that's at least 10 degrees higher than we would normally have at this time of year. Hellish for me!Ā  Ā You'll be a mere stripling soon if you keep going in that heat. I couldn't do it at all. I've never been able to cope with heat. We aren't used to that kind of temp, even in summer.Ā  :D
Glad the daughters are both ok @Lizzie27 and @Obelixx. My sister was visiting oldest son last night to see the little 'uns for the first time in 2 months, as we are now allowed to visit other family. She was so excited. They are only a short distance away, but it's like a 'Proclaimers' distance away, when you can't visit in person. My sis and BIL do quite a bit of childcare as both parents are in the teaching businessĀ  Ā :)
Met a woman when I was out, and we were both appalled by what we saw on one of the big grassed areas locally. I could see her ahead of me, looking, and I thought she was looking at the mallard duck, but as I got closer, I then saw the mass of debris everywhere. No prizes for guessing what had been happening, as our lockdown was relaxed form last night re social gatherings.Ā  Deeply depressing.Ā  :/

@Fairygirl I hope you were cool in house yesterdayĀ
I was in sun for 13 hours years came in a 10 pmĀ
I did sit in shade with sun brolly ā˜‚ļø at times thouĀ
I do feel for people who can’t stand the heatĀ
it was unbareable during the night even thou I had fan on I hardly sleptĀ

I've just been getting up earlier Pat. It's too hot later on, and then there's far too many Covidiots out and about.Ā  ;)
Is it chilly with you just now?Ā
We're getting items now of fears about fires on open land up here. It's been so dry, and now that stoopid folk might go out with barbecues etc, it's a recipe for disaster. There was a bad one in Dorset last week.Ā  Is your country recovering from them now? They never mention it on our news at all now. Usual story though eh - no follow up of anything, just repeats of the main headlines 24 hours a dayĀ  :/

Just looked at the weather forecast for the next 10 days. "17% " chance of a shower on Wed morning , other than that no rain at all.

    Morning all.
@Dovefromabove have you been to Munning’s old home where lots of his paintings are displayed? I think you said you have. I love them.

After we went to the GC for compost we went for a drive, not long. OH, as he is so lame and over 70, has hardly been out. We drove though the village where we first met Dove and had lunch in a wonderful old pub. Of course, the pub was shut. I look forward to the day when they can open again. Will it ever be the same? I wish he could have his hip replacement. He has ordered a light weight mobility scooter.

Ryanair now don’t have any flights to Bergerac until Mid July. I could have grown some vegetables here.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
