Congratulations Mr. C at least you have a nice shiny greenhouse to hide in if he becomes too grumpy @chicky. 😅 My toes, feet and hands come to that are hideous, Charlie says they look 50 years older than me. 😱 Must dash dropping flowers to re-home and it's 31 degrees.
Have just enjoyed our first lettuce for lunch from the be Veggie patch, Charlie extremely proud of it. Wouldn't even ruin the fresh taste with dressing. 😁
Catch you all later. Xxx

Brilliant @D0rdogne_Damsel. Has Charlie set up a little stall yet? My toenails aren't the most savoury @Hostafan1, although at least they're all present for now, as I've done no bog-trotting for a while How's the neck today @Dovefromabove? I thought I might manage lunch outside in the shade. Nope...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It comes and goes @Fairygirl ... my son has a friend who’s a very good sports physio (he was a leading ballet dancer so has a unique understanding/approach). He’s going to ask him for suggestions for exercises pending the lifting of restrictions when I could visit for treatment if he thinks that’s appropriate.
Now we’re off to the farm shop a couple of villages away for provisions ... all ordered and paid for ... we’ll just drive into the carpark and ring them and they’ll carry them out and put them in the boot.

OH and I have been shopping - for rust. Panels of mesh plus rusty pillars to hold it all up for two trellis panels and a chicken run and some timber for edging the rose beds too. Delivery on Monday 8. That gives me time to weed the beds for the trellis panels, plant a Pilgrim rose, mark out the hen run and get some insulating done in their house.
It's a former donkey shed with a lot of draughts but is clean and dry now we've excavated all the crud and pressure washed it. There are sparrows nesting under its wavy terracotta tiled roof so they'll have company.
Hope your neck improves @Dovefromabove. I have physio for my knee and shoulder on hold till they take patients again. Bit of a pain.
Well done Charlie! Our lettuce plugs got fried or snailed, except for one, but the broad beans produced a good crop from Easter on and now we have curly kale ready to eat and broccoli almost ready.
Since I got my new feet in 2013 my toes have been a lot better and now we're here I spend half the year bare foot/flip-flopped or in open toed sandals so clean feet and some discreet varnish are the order of the day. Never on the finger nails tho. Wouldn't last 5 minutes. Was saying to OH just yesterday we should have bought shares in hand cream companies. Never used so much in my life and I get thru loads even without the extra hand washing.

No idea @chicky but I want to be ready for the next release of layers from the free range egg farms. The plan is to give a long and happy life to some ordinary chucks, not get special breeds. The pen will be big rusty mesh with chicken wire all round the bottom so they can't escape and scoff my veg.

Good idea @Obelixx, will you be able to get eggs as well? Keep meaning to ask you, how is your daughter coping? It looks as though she might be able to get home soon from what I read today. Can't get mine to communicate so I'm worried she's sinking down again. I think we might be able to go and see her next week if we share the driving there and back but it will be a long round trip.
We are still limited to 100km radius from home @Lizzie27 but that should lift next week. The Belgian/French border may open on the 15th but maybe not. I don't especially want to risk her travelling on a train or bus so we're waiting for borders and, as important, motorway loos and services to open. 800km each way so coffee and loos will be needed.
She seems fine. Has had a few rough patches but has recently had a day out up on Namur Citadel with 2 friends at safe distance and her flatmate came back for a few days so she's had some fun but is again enjoying being on her own.
It's a worry isn't it? Possum did go silent for a few days last week but it turned out she'd just forgotten to charge her mobile and was avoiding social media. Maybe your daughter is just unplugged too. Hope so.
