Am I the only person who sees some photos on this , and other sites/magazines/ GW who immediately thinks. " what a feck*n eyesore" ??
No your not the only one. I don’t buy GW Mag anymore. Couldn’t be doing with Monty Don saying one thing and Titmarsh saying the opposite, both in the same magazine sometimes.

KT53, perhaps they are gorwing cannabis!! My grump, Oh, I am really angry!! Had a cash ISA, matured 30.5, got paperwork through, fill in this form if you want to re-invest (not at 1%) this one if you want to transfer it, another if you want to acsh it in, have the money sent to you Bank. My Bank details etc were already on there, it was a matter of ticking the box, I want to cash it in, confirm, yes, transfer it to my bank, sign and date the bottom, this was 20.5. I actually took a photocopy of the form (dont trust anyone to get it right) Was wondering why the money hadnt gone into the Bank. Got a letter from the Building Society today, saying thank you for re-invesing your ISA with us. Rang, girl says oh, we didnt have a copy of your signature to prove it was really you, can you send a copy of a Passport (no, haven got one) or driving licence (yes,) with a picture, of me, then get your Dr, dentist or Lawyer to countersign the photo and a copy of my signature. I actually said, "are you out for a laugh, they are all closed" So shes says "well, do you have a friend who is a Dr,dentst or lawyer", no, I dont, nearly said "Do you". Then she says I can get a teacher to do it, I do actually know a teacher, all be it, it will be a 50 mile round trip to go and see her. Then she says because of the virus thing, it may take some time to get the appropriate paperwork out to me. So, because you dont have a cpy of my signature, and you dont bother to ask for one, although I have written to say I want MY money you have desided to ignore a written request and re invested it in your Building Society!!!
I know exactly what you mean @Liriodendron. My mother gave me a religious relic. It seems disrespectful and borderline unlucky to dispose of it so it lives in the back of a cupboard and turns up periodically when I'm looking for something else.

No. On the GW Magazine FB page, somebody posted a photo of work they had done in their garden and it was a total mess. Somebody said it looked like king size Rennies had been thrown around, which was a pretty accurate description of the look. I decided to be kind and simply said "If you like the result, that's all that matters".

I thought that when OH and I visited his relatives in the US of A, and I saw all the front lawns populated by cut-out Disney figures. Well, not ALL the front lawns; I'm pleased to say none of our family had them. I suppose that will catch on here sooner or later.
