My grump of the day is the lack of online sales since lockdown. All the companies I regularly buy from are still sending me spam emails but not a single offer or discount since we all became captive consumers. I buy a lot of stuff in bulk packets when the prices are dropped, it doesn't work out much cheaper but saves a ton of plastic. Without the sale prices it often actually costs more to buy in larger quantities.
My contract with talk talk ran out a few weeks ago, so all my discounts ahve been removed. I can't call them, use an online helpline, or email them.
It beggars belief that an ISP has to shut down every single form of communication.

They're not all closed down. Try another company. My daughter got a new phone and contract the other day. I can't remember which one it was.

Double bout of tetchiness this morning.  Went to the vets as the cat needed a check up after his illness. I was waiting in the carpark for over an hour - the vet is extraordinarily thorough and doesn’t keep to schedule so I was not surprised and had come armed with a couple of magazines to read. But I decided to check how much longer I’d have to wait so phoned the desk. “No we’ve not forgotten you. Not long now.” Five minutes later my mobile phone rang, “Errr. Don’t know how to tell you this: your appointment is next Friday not today”. Grrr. But when the vet said ‘make an appointment for Friday’ and I phoned asking for an appointment for Friday how it came to be Friday week is a mystery.

Then on arriving home, I found the wind had blown over my display stand of geraniums and all the terracotta pots are smashed. Going out now to sort out the carnage.

I'm pretty happy with the service I've had and the price  package I had, just pee'd off that they've shut all avenues of communication

You would think a mobile phone company would be ideally suited to functioning at present

precisely my point. It's just laziness. I'd even be happy to leave an email for someone to get back to me in due course, that would be fine, but even that option isn't open to me.

Did you try accessing the sales option. There's probably someone there.

I sometimes use the option ‘are you thinking of leaving us?’   That usually gets a response 😉

I've eventually got someone on "chat" still no phone lines open.
    Wish me luck

My grump today is that neighbours adult son has been coming to do work in the garden for them since yesterday morning and he's had the radio on all day - which we can hear from inside the house with all the windows closed. It's driving us up the wall and yes, we complained last year when they moved in but he's 'thick' and doesn't seem to understand we don't like the noise.
