...why do fridges/freezers defrost when you don't want them to, BUT when you can't open the drawers any more because of more ice than sank the Titanic, the bl**dy things take 12 hours to defrost even with a pick axe, heated rollers, hair dryers, electric blanket, solar powered generators, Windscale Flakes, ground heat pumps, chilli powder, boiling tea kettles  ......aaarrrrrgggghhhh!

I suppose you do realise you're meant to switch the fridge OFF to defrost it!?  I was once defrosting mine, wondering why it was taking so long, at last the penny dropped, it was still switched on.  I find a large bowl of boiling water on the shelf, with a folded towel on the  bottom, works well enough.  Just  change the water as it cools.

Where is the rain, yesterday, got sooh excited, it kept geting very cloudy, there was literally about 10 seconds rain, then brilliant sun again, so windy that has dried stuff out even more.  If that wasnt annoying enough enough, 6 water butts some half full, Hubby had moved the little boy who pees in the pond (you know the one, think hes Belgium) the hose fell out, and the pond with our 12 loveley gold fish was gaily syphonning, itself, there was hardly any water in there, so frantic rush to water butts, every watering can, we looked like something from a Laurel and Hardy film, so now fish fine and happy, no water for the plants.

It's just a glitch on the new posts page for me. I can view threads and reply without logging in but the main page tells me I'm not logged in. Then when I've posted a reply it remembers I'm already logged in and I can view the main page as normal. At least until it forgets me again...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
