Good morning Ante. Your morning sounds just like mine at the moment. Its very nice here, sunny but windy. The forecast is not good for later on today though. Time will tell. It is not unknown for weather forecasts to get it wrong.

It's very pleasant to have peaceful morning with tea or coffee. Not very often for me last few months.

Hello Chive. Yes, bee was sticking its head into the bamboo canes openings. Its most likely looking for a des rez (Ante - desirable residence). I will be keeping a watch out. I planted big clumps of teasels in the border near to my kitchen window so that I'll see the bees on the flowers and then later on the goldfinches on the seed heads. I'll be speaking to the rellies later on as well and catching up on all of their news. They are all well thanks Chive, even my Ozzie relatives. I hope that you have a good day too. I have just noticed that my sun has disappeared, its still quite bright but the sky has turned from blue to grey. Oh boo!

Ante30, dont rub it in about the haircut,  I changed hairdressers end of last year, had an appointment in January, really liked her, AND its 10 minutes walk from home, she has a proper salon in her back garden, made the next appointment for Easter, she is very popular and part retired, then came the lockdown, so it was cancelled of course, I had just desided to have a fringe cut, so, it grows so quickly, I have cut my fringe 3 times myself since January.

    Morning everyone
Looked at my quiz answers.......Miss, Miss, please Miss🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ I  accidentally put one in the wrong place......so I did get 9 right,  Miss, sorry Miss. 😉😉
Gorgeous flower photos Ante, such pretty colours.
Goodness my hair needs cutting. Although to go to a hairdressers, when we're allowed......unless she
used long handled grass shears.......you'd be far too close to each other 🤔😣
Cloudy skies here, with the sun trying to peak through, but a bit chilly today.
I know we can't go out.....and I don't really want to, but I'm really getting fed up now. My get up and go, has got up and gone 😔

Off to do some washing and hoovering......sorry Col TT
    Take care everyone TTFN

Morning @Nanny Beach and Ruby. Gosh Nanny B, your hair must grow quickly if you've had to cut your fringe 3 times since January! I've just heard on the news that the public has been asked to shine a light in their windows on Tuesday night at 20:30. That day is the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth and has been designated as International Nurses Day. The idea of the lamp is in reference to the lamp Florence carried with her and is to show again our respect for our healthcare heroes.

Good morning LB, Ante, Chive, Rubee and Nanny Beach.  Well done to Topbird in the quiz and the tale about the little girl and the pebble, Stuart the stone, was charming.  It looks like rain here, quite cloudy compared to our sunny days.  There was a little girl yesterday taking early steps and we said hello and yet kept our distance and her granddad picked her up as she might have come over.  Hello Lily just missed you then.

Morning🙂 Still sunny here and about 19C but there's a lot of high cloud making it's way over and there's a strong breeze. Definitely going to cool down a lot later today.

Just come in for a cuppa. Have been planting out coriander, chard and lettuce plants grown from seed and sown some radish as a catch crop. Seed is 7 years old but it might germinate - nothing to lose. Just put some pea seeds in to soak as well.

Next I'm going to tackle a 3m section of the beech hedge which is looking rather dead😢. No idea why. Might be a fungal infection or it might be the last 2 years of drought (it's the area under the ash tree). There are a couple of signs of life on one or two of the plants so I'm going to weed thoroughly under the hedge, then give it a good feed, water and mulch and leave it for a few weeks and keep everything crossed.

Struck lucky with my hair. Had it cut 4 days before lockdown and I asked her to take a bit extra off just in case. Glad I did. Bought some thinning scissors the other day and I've taken a bit  off the fringe and the longest bits at the front. Hardly anything really but it makes a big difference to the feel.

I suspect hairdressers will have to wear masks when they go back to work. Maybe their clients will as well but I think a mask could make it quite difficult to cut the hair. We'll see...
