Hello, I couldn’t gesonline for this blasted BT pop up thingy asking me to complete a survey. I don’t have BT so could be dodgy. I’ve been out in the garden this morning and enjoyed my walk round with Rubee reminding me of all the plants and shrubs as my memory’s been affected sine stroke but I enjoyed it very much. It’s good to be at one with nature and you feel like that in the garden. Good to see the progression of the various plants and flowers. I hope you have a good day. It looks like it’s going to rain.
Afternoon all. Weekly SM shop for me this morning. No need to queue and SM shelves back (almost) normal except for flour. Apparently the problem is not with a shortage of flour itself but the with supermarket packaged / sized bags. Locally, a lot of small shops and bakers have flour and the community shop in the next village has taken delivery of some large sacks and they are weighing flour into strong paper bags for customers. We've stepped back 60 years in time! - excellent! So nice to be able to buy however much you actually need whether you're a family of 8 or a single person household.
Seemed to be a few more people out and about today. Certainly passed painters and decorators, roofers and TV aerial people working on houses and the builders are back at the end of the lane. I know that several builders merchants have reopened for click and collect in the last 10 days and, if people are working on the outside of your house up a ladder, I guess they're practicing social distancing! It was good to see a few signs of normal life happening safely in these abnormal times.
Lily - good to see your talent for blank verse hasn't left you😉
Hazel - the pop-up gremlin was behaving exactly the same for me yesterday but only on this site. There's been no problem this morning but I notice the big NHS side banners have gone. I was having a lot of problems with the pages on this site jumping up and down a bit - but that problem has disappeared this morning as well. Wonder if it's connected?
Any news from the garage about your car LB?
has anyone seen anything of Chey? Hope he's ok.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I was wondering where Chey was too, don't think he's posted on here for a couple of weeks. Good idea in one way with the flour. Ok if you have a local shop to buy it like that, but not I suppose if there's only SM s to go to. 🤷🏻♀️ Sun out one minute then dark skies the next. Quite chilly though. Going to put some cloth things on the line. Toodle pip 🤗
Hello @Rosie.b. 🙂 You weren't there when I posted earlier. The 2 pop ups I was getting were for Vodafone (celebrating however many years in business) and BT (how satisfied am I with their service).
I was so dissatisfied with the service from BT a couple of years ago I took my custom elsewhere and haven't been a customer since. So definitely dodgy pop-ups. I am a Vodafone customer but they don't communicate like that. Hope it's not an ongoing problem.
Lovely to hear you enjoyed the tour of your mum's estate. Is the tea room there any good? 😉😁

Afties all. My cloth things are in and put away. I did think for a short moment that it may rain but it has appeared to have blown over. I am off out again in a moment and I'll need to take my phone with me as I've been having marathon friend chats today so T'Bird, if the garage tried to get through they had no chance! He did say either today or tomorrow so if I don't hear anything tomorrow I'll call them on Wednesday. No rush. Sorry to hear a few of you are having hiccups with this site at the moment. I trust it will all be sorted soon. Rosie, do you have an Ad Blocker on your device, that should stop those annoying 'popups'. Hazel, it sounds like you could do with one too if you get adverts.
Drat I clicked the post button instead of the Save Draft. Anyway, the builders on the new estate across the fields from me have never stopped working (apart from Easter Sunday) and the noise of their various machines seem louder because of the lack of traffic noises. The farmers are constantly moving about too. Its strange how the alarm sounds of ambulances have a somewhat sinister feeling nowadays.
Chey is fine by the way, asked me to say 'hello' to you all and apologises for his absence but he will be back. He's well into his 12 weeks of isolation now.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
.... Don’t think I’ve seen the NHS pop up Topbird, ....
The NHS thing isn't a pop-up Hazel - it's like a longitudinal banner in both margins down both sides of the page. Black background - telling you to stay at home and all that.
Unfortunately, I think Ad-blockers no longer work with Safari - as of about 2 updates ago.

Aaaah sorry about the duff gen re Ad Blockers T'Bird. I know nothing about iPads and the Safari system. Hazel, the car will get sorted sooner or later, I'm not particularly worried to be honest.

Afties everyone . It’s been a very cold wet day here . I have been doing some planting between the showers .I came in a few minutes ago to get warm its like winter. I received some coloured plant pots and they are now planted up . Good to hear that Chey is ok . Some of my new pots .
Aww, they look lovely Rubee, pansies are really pretty too. I've just cut OH hair and even if I do say so myself, its pretty good. At least its straight and doesn't screem home haircut 🤣🤣 So if any of you fancy a trim, chat and cuppa I'm free Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. All other days this week I'm already fully booked 😉🤣🤣
I have an iPad and use safari, had a pop up from carphone warehouse. Went on to settings and noticed a download had not downloaded automatically which normally happens. So I downloaded Manually which sorted out the problem.
