Hello Chive, yes it ws a bit of a shock but I suppose when I think about it, all the show management, nurseries, organisers and sponsors of the show will be dealing with these difficult times and its subsequent restrictions and won't be able to get things ready for August. It is such a shame because the Southport Flower show is a Charity and apparently this is the first time it will have been cancelled since the end of World War ll

Good morning Chive and all to follow. Good luck at SM it’s not much fun these days with all the queuing and arrows and people glaring at you if you go the wrong way is it?
Busy day yesterday hoping to actually get some fruit this year. FiancĂ© spotted the allotment fox with one young cub but I was busy with gate and missed them, so cute! Grow house is ready for the tomatoes 🍅
We moved the water feature to a sunnier spot in March and the little solar fountain is working well and the whole thing is covered with the allotment bees coming for a drink, I have set it up so that they can safely drink and they seem to love it. Big son has promised to go every day it’s dry to water and weed as his way of paying rent so hoping for good crops this year. He is so much happier being outside all day every day unless it’s pouring down.
Fiancé has been very down recently but has started sanding paintwork and is now ready to gloss stairs and landing, door frames etc. Terribly messy but hope it will look good when finished. Then he will repaint walls white and cream and I am hoping for new flooring once this is over. He seems more positive when he is kept busy just hope we can get some definite news about his work soon.
Sorry for long post, just off to work in a bit hope you all have a good day!

A very good morning Chive and all to follow. I hope that the SM trip goes well and you get everything you want Chive. The sun is peeking through my front window. There could be more gardening on the cards for me today.

    Morning everyone
Hopefully the SM will be a bit quiet this early in the morning Chive, hope you get everything you want. I still can't get any flour or dried fruit for baking. Eggs are getting better. Haven't been able to to get bottles of hand wash either only bars of soap. We have a SM delivery this afternoon, will be interesting to see what doesn't arrive. In a way I'm glad I can't go to the SM, would hate all that queuing.

LB Hope your car gets sorted today and it's nothing but a new battery.

Debs, bet you can't wait to get your new kitchen. Hope things work our for OH work wise, must be very worrying for him. He's still grieving too, being stuck indoors so long isn't helping any. Great you have the allotment too, that must help you all. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us all this year, at least we can get some fresh air and keep busy. Sounds like you might have lots of fresh veg, they taste so much better than shop bought.  Little fountain sounds like the one I got the other year. I really want to get a special barrel/tub to put it in. At the moment it's in the bird bath. Would quite fancy a tiny water Lily too.

Sun is shining here too LB, hopefully we won't have the chilly breeze we had yesterday. I quite fancy a lazy day in the garden today, slept very heavy last night and I have a muzzy head. Time for tea and toast, see you later everyone. Take care.

Good morning Debs, you must have been editing your post when I posted mine so you weren't there! Its good to hear that keeping busy is helping to lift the spirits of your fiancé and how nice it must be to have your son around to help tend in the allotment. Your bee fountain sounds lovely They do need to have a safe place to drink.

The moon was very beautiful last night as I went out to lock up the garage. There was still some daylight:
Apparently tonight is the last super moon of 2020 and its known as The Flower Moon so I hope we have a clear sky later on to enjoy the spectacle.
