Possum!!  Yesterday, while resting the bashed knee, I made 5 new face masks for when we can go out again.  First batch for Possum as she will be allowed out sooner than us, being young.

Only likes 3 and really hates the flowery one.  That's OK as it's a remnant from a summer frock I made so it was for me anyway.

Can I do some in red?  OK.   Doesn't like any of my red fabrics!!!

Can someone tell her they're a health accessory, not a fashion statement?

To be fair @Obelixx, they are more fashion statements than of any health benefit.

I know @punkdoc but we are being told here and in Belgium that we will have to have masks if we want to go out after confinement and it's more about us not spreading our germs isn't it?   At least these are free, can be made to measure for bigger/smaller faces and ears and don't get in the way of real masks going where they're needed.

They look good @Obelixx, did you have a pattern or just made them up, using your own face for a model? I thought about doing some but not sure if I've got any elastic! I saw more people wearing them this morning, for the first two weeks, it was only me in my rather scary Screwfix model (which is not very comfortable to wear for long having a rubber flange all round and being rather tight). I don't envy the medics in their full kit ones all day.

There are many images online showing the painful marks left on the faces of NHS staff from the masks they wear.
I see Sadiq Khan is saying that everyone should wear a mask whilst out and about.  Where does he think all these masks are going to come from? Not everyone has @Obelixx 's sewing skills, wish l did !
