@Hostafan1 ,You might consider whether all 800 are worth ticking off. Are you a hosta anorak or a discerning collector? You don't strike me as a  hosta spotter. So long as you haven't got a rain-damaged exercise book and a stubby pencil, there's hope.

Anybody got the phone number for Nostrodamus?  The amount of people posting on travel sites asking if it will be OK to travel to x, y or z in 6 months time clearly believe there are members with the gift of foresight!

Reminds me of when I worked for BR; when it snowed, people would come to the station in the morning and ask if the trains were running?  Yes.  If I go to London, what are the chances the trains will still be running when it's time to come home?  Dunno mate, you tell us how much snow there's going to be.

I like to tell myself I only buy new varieties which are different to everything I have already, but with modern breeding, it's estimated that over 200 new varieties are introduced every year .

I worked in a cafe on the main A30 just short of Cornwall and the emmets would come in and ask how long will it take them to get to Newquay, dunno mate, how fast do you drive.
