    I remember listening to his last show @Fairygirl, and how he nearly lost it when Bobbi Prior was doing the final traffic report. Lewis Carnie had a lot to answer for, but naturally he has left the BBC in  blaze of glory.

    The whole thing was a ruddy farce from start to finish.

    The only folk I can't stand on R2 or Steve Wright and Paul O'grady, and can't take too much of Liza Tarbuck

    Hmmm .... just had text and email from Morrisons saying they're delivering
    between 6-7  .... so are we back to Plan A?   We'll have to wait and see

    Looks like there's a lot fresh stuff missing and some substitutions of other stuff ... oh well, I may be going to the farm shop tomorrow ...

    Absolutely @AnniD. A box ticking, load of politically correct cr*p. Jo Whiley was appalling. For someone who's been doing it long enough, you'd think she could have done a better job. Always butting in and taking over. Cringeworthy  :/
    I don't think I can bear to read that link....
    I like Steve Wright. I know a lot of people don't, but he's harmless, and good for keeping folk smiling. It's what many people need if a long afternoon at work beckons. Just cheering them up.  :)
    You'll just have to chew on some twigs @Dovefromabove....

    5pm if officially known as Sara Cox o'clock. That's our cue to turn the radio on.
    Devon.

    Radio 1 is cox O'clock all day.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I didn't listen to him often TBH. Can't comment on whatever happened to him.
    Waitrose will meet you in the car park with your shopping so you don't have to go inside.. Maybe Morrison's do the same? or you could ask?
    Surely Waitrose use liveried butlers to bring out your purchases.  Morrisons will have a kid with his trousers hanging off his arse. :D

    @KT53 :D

    @Hostafan1   -My youngest was filling in at another branch of her work, as staff were off ill, and the wee ginger kid from the John Lewis C'mas ad was in. Nearest Waitrose is over this way, so she must have been slumming it  ;)

    The pub closure announcement should have been made in the morning with either immediate closure or closure by early afternoon.  It was pretty obvious that a lot of people would think they had to get ratted one last time.
