Their website says soak for 24 hours. But would over night be sufficient?
What is the best or recommended mulch after planting? And how long would I have to wait to feed?
I think what gives them the bad reputation is the customers service after sales. There are alot of companies that can fall under that umbrella. I for one have worked for some for my sins.
@bradleywood32 ..24 hours is fine, shorter or longer, won't matter too much... I've done 10 minutes, an hour, overnight, several days.. couple of weeks... I've even known somebody soak for several months because they forgot about them.. the roses were ok I was told..
..mulch with ordinary compost is best really.. feed when active growth starts, when the stems start shooting out.. you can sprinkle some in with the back fill if you want, a small amount.. I do that..
..beautiful @edhelka ..those gorgeous buds on Souvenir.. and doesn't Minerva have a good scent... good early bloom from this rose.. ...nice mossy glands on James too..
...a fine red rose Bradley @bradleywood32 … I can only find a red florist rose under that name, from Holland... maybe it has some other name too... looking forward to seeing your other roses in due course...
Yes, I love Minerva's fragrance. It was strong yesterday, not much today. Both Minerva and Souvenir are in the front garden and I feel bad going there to sniff them every couple of hours neighbours certainly have to think I am nuts.
Each year I keep a photo record of when all my roses show a first bloom of the season.. I've been doing this for several years now... Minerva first bloom last year was 24th May..
..'Desdemona' on the other hand is late.. by a few days... Apr 29 last year.. but always my first Austin..
Work got busy and when I came back there were 30 pages to catch up on! I was trying to do that first but all my roses have started to pop thought I'd go back and read later.
Climbing Arthur Bell - it's smell gorgeous and is full of buds.
It looks do much nicer this year as it's grown along its structure x
