I want Gabriel this year and loved Eustacia last year she flowered her socks off in her half barrel gorgeous flowers and a divine scent!
Just pruned back the last few roses in barrels at the weekend better late than never.
Roses at allotment look dreadful Heavily infected with black spot on all stems. Should I try to save them? If so how? Or cut my losses? Not bringing them to garden as don’t want to infect my healthy roses but was thinking of a bed at allotment any tips to help them?

    Some more foliage photos:

    1) Olivia Rose Austin, very pretty foliage
    2) A tiny bud on Archduke Charles (china), it probably won't open (wind damage) and is a tiny plant so I probably won't let it anyway but it's the first one.
    3) Souvenir de St. Anne's (bourbon) looks good
    4) Tiny spikes on James Veitch (perpetual moss)
    5) The Prince. It is the most wind-burnt plant at the moment, the same experience as @Nollie it probably won't be happy where it is.

@debs64 I would cut them back under the spots or as much as you can and then add fresh mulch and some food. But this will only slow the disease, if they are prone to blackspot, they will get infected again later in the year unless you are willing to spray.

And Tuincentrum Lottum confirmed that standard roses have the same shipping costs as other roses. Although I am not sure if I should buy more roses, I have enough on my plate right now, but it's tempting.

@jonathanmichell23 … welcome to Roses Jonathan, we shall look forward to seeing more of your roses as the season goes on... they're all looking good... Lady of Shalott is my favourite of those you have.... the thing is Jonathan, are you buying any more?.... if so which ones...?... we're in the discount season too..

oh.. and don't worry about the collage, single pictures are fine, depends what we want to show I think...

  • @Marlorena I have Gabriel Oak and Silas being delivered this weekend after reading yours and others recommendations!

No idea where to put them though as I only have a small garden! As others have said, pots are my best friend but a growing addiction!!!

Trevor White sale is on (unfortunately roses I want are not included).
@jonathanmichell23 Welcome, I am happy to see more posters here :) There's never too many rose photos and rose gardens photos. Don't worry about collages, I only use them when I have too many photos which are too similar.

Should I cover the graft on this rose?
It's  a very vigorous Albertine. Which seems to be in rude good health to me    scores of blossoms last year
It was probably badly planted - by me and further exposed when some large euphorbia  were removed about 3 years ago

    Would be grateful for advice
