@Marlorena, thank you for your comment. Bengal is more than welcome to climb on the fence, it's quite tall, 1.8m, actually it can take the whole fence if she likes:) I will need to invest in support, though.
@Voyagerxp, what a lovely Agapanthuses you have got!
Thank you for that detailed explanation @edhelka. I should stop watering in the evening (just done tonight's!) . Those temperatures would be our normal summer ones then . The temperature is forecast to be high here for a few days but the humidity was very high today. Soil is bone dry though. As are the water butts again.I think I'll go and check leaves.
I realise I missed some great pics from loads of people. This thread is such a treat, thank you
Nearly all my roses now have BS, some quite badly, including New Dawn on our shed. I was surprised to see bad BS on the upper leaves -about 6-7ft up and well above the shed gutter so lots of air flow. It has been very humid the last few days and we've had drizzle for the last two so I expect that's why the BS is so bad right now. I've just picked off as many affected leaves as I can reach all round the garden and watered the roses in pots. I don't tend to water those in the ground except for one or two new ones. I don't stress about BS any more.
I was at my local rose centre today and they said one of their customers who only uses organic stuff in the garden swears by spraying the roses in the spring with milk. I've heard of milk being used for mildew before but not BS.
@Voyagerxp lovely photos. How do you find Ballerina. I was considering this one a while ago.
@evelin my Chandos Beauty only get the afternoon and evening sun.
@poppyfield64...it's been brilliant all Summer, throwing out trusses like the pic shows since early May. Flowers on new growth which is handy for a rambler...but more importantly has stood up well to the relentless rain we've had.

Amber Queen is quite black spotty though, about 50% either spotted, yellowed or already defoliated.
Arthur Bell is more like 80%
Remembrance is 95%!
Rhapsody in Blue has the odd few leaves but not too bad.
Everything else is mostly good. I now only water in the morning, when I do, which isn’t very often.

I just picked up Open Arms today. I believe you have that one too. How is it doing?
Royal Jubilee today.
And is it just me that sees a secret enchanted garden in this Verbena or have I had one too many rum & cokes.
Purpose of photo was Desdemona honest!
