If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • I thought bird flu was less severe than man flu?
    Not if you're a bird!!

Luckily the case mentioned, was animal to human transmission. So far there have been no cases of human to human transmission, but as we know, viruses are constantly mutating.
Some scientists believe, when that happens, it will be a genuine apocalypse.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

    when
Couldn't have said "if" could you :s

    The article says:
The statement did not disclose the test results of others in the group and did not specify how the victim's father had contracted the virus, commonly known as bird flu.
After the Covid cover-up conspiracies news like that can make you very nervous. The very early Covid news ran along a similar line didn't it? I'm only joking of course but every case of Bird Flu in humans is the potential start of a new pandemic. It's not time to start hoarding toilet roll just yet though...

There will always be the "Woe, woe and thrice woe" brigade who spout the worst possible scenario as being the most likely.  As you say "Some scientists believe....."

I imagine it's based on the known facts. About half of bird flu cases in humans have been fatal but there have been less than 1000 cases in the last 20 years.
