  • No sars cov 1 never made it here. It mutated so much it stopped being infectious  to humans. I think that's what our dear Gov't were relying on happening with this one.

Very interesting chat with a Dr from WHO (pun intended) with Sophie Raworth on BBC - watch it on iPlayer if you've missed it.

  • Dr Peter Openshaw & Tim Spector on R4 this morning.  Saying what we have suspected that the current daily data is dropping  because they are relying people logging positive lateral flow tests. They were saying the current relaxation is premature.  I know the numbers round here have started to go up again the last week.

I had a meeting booked at a client's house on Saturday and we all agreed to LFT before hand. Just as I was leaving the house she rang to say that her daughter's test showed a very faint line and did I want to cancel or was I ok to risk it. I said we should reschedule for next weekend after her daughter had the all clear and that was all fine. She emailed this afternoon to say they did another round of tests in the evening and by then they were all showing positives. So far no symptoms though.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

My cousin sent me a post saying 1 in 3 people were doing the tests incorrectly, purely because they were not bothering to read the instructions first. What about Australia then, people complain about the regulations here, they have a 24 day isolation period. One expert said they will never gain heard immunity. My daughter just had to do 10, doesn't get sick pay,I know you can apply for a grant,it takes time she gets paid weekly,so everything is geared to that. So she took it as holiday.

  • Yes my understanding is that you should have had 4. Good luck with the GP.

  • @pansyface for what it's worth, I have had similar experience to you ( ie 2 shots approx 12 weeks apart then booster 6 months later ( early Nov). No sign of anyone ( other than the gov.uk or nhs info site) acknowledging I should have had 4 although I did get a letter recently telling me to keep a PCR test at home in case routine LFT was positive , so PCR could be immediately done ( as I fall into category that would get the drugs if I contracted it presumably). So I've done that.

I'm ( probably incorrectly) now assuming that the window for dose 3 is long since past so I've stopped enquiring but be interested to hear what the outcome is for you.

As is my son,  he’s never been told of a 4th vaccine.
