Covid-19

  • I had the booster and flu jab in the same arm, bit of a muzzy head and sore arm for a few days.  AZ first 2 pfizer booster.  I think most people's reactions are very individual.
Sadly it's always the same,  they keep saying nothings wrong,  no action needed,   until the last minute when it's overwhelmingly obvious then they flip. Prepare for another cancellation of Christmas.

Might as well if all the tat is stuck on container ships and there'll be shortages of traditional Christmas food. We can sit and watch reruns of Christmas specials while eating beans on toast washed down with the finest tap water

It seams that Cornwall are giving the booster in two goes, 21 days apart.

  • Apparently it's half term holidays,  so all the working age adults are off too. Covid must be over as JRM says his tory pals don't need masks in parliament- so we can all go to hell in hand basket together.

You've cheered me up!!! 2 AZ like flu the first time, not so bad the second but I knew what to expect. Everyone I knew who had Pfizer for the first 2,had absolutely nothing.

Same here @Nanny Beach. Had AZ for first two and after first was bad for ten days feeling unwell and painful joints and second similar but not so bad. OH had Pfizer and no reaction at all. Booster was Pfizer and just felt a bit off for a few days.

A retired doctor I know, who is volunteering at a vaccination centre, told me that they have a 'no turn away' policy for booster jabs - as long as 6 months have passed since your 2nd jab, they will do the booster. Obviously if you have to travel a long way on the offchance, you might not want to risk a local variation in policy, but if you're eligible, haven't been contacted yet and are passing a centre, it may be worth popping in.

Had our Pfizer booster jabs today, 4 days after our flu jabs. Feel fine - so far!

  • I've made my booster appointment today, after the booking website allowed me in for the first time. It's 5 days after the six month mark and it's just gone 'live'. Spouse is 4 days behind me and the site won't let him book his yet, so there's clearly a sweet spot at 6 months and 5 days.

Good to know. Mine must be the 10th, then. I can stop scanning texts for a while
